Where we used to get regular updates from both ppckitchen and no2chem, now we get "preview" builds of ROM files and more focus on implementing custom programs to replace WM apps (which are being made unremovable, because it's "for our own good"), instead of bug fixes and new build releases. Kind of sad, really. But that's why there are other developers I suppose.

Dear Whiney b1tch,

You have some serious entitlement issues. Those of us who work on building kitchens for free for the public, owe you nothing.

It blows my mind that someone can complain that they're not getting something free done quickly enough for them.

If you think you can find them faster, convert them to work on our devices, iron out the bugs, resolve compatibility issues and build a stable kitchen base faster, by all means, build your own kitchen and release it. Until then, stfu and quit criticizing others.

Why be afraid when you're most likely not going to be getting another update for a loooong time since he's more focused on his own projects than the WM builds he was known for?

Besides, DCD's builds are far more stable and bug-free than his are.

Wow you seem bitter. These guys do this for free ya know. Gotta cut them some slack. I know it has been a "while" since we had an update. I personally don't consider 1-2 months a while when people are not getting paid. Yes I know some people have donated to help there cause. That is still not like getting paid. If they were being paid to put the time into the project and not producing results then yes it would be an issue. If you personally like using DCD's then thats great, but it doesn't seem fair for you to blast no2chem about what he chooses to do this week. If he wants to develop his on projects then that is his perogitive. I don't think any of us have given him a large enough donation to keep him dedicated to our interest over his interest. Just my thoughts. I am not trying to flame you, just think some of the comments about the developers and there lack of interest in the community are unfounded.

Well, I think his value lately has been much more in his nueTools than in his ROMs. I've switched to using a kitchen build with his nueTools and been much happier. I think he'd be better to focus exclusively on the tools and making them easily available via OEMs and CABs.

I will second that I have been running DCD's 3.2.5 build for about as long and very stable but DCD does a great job of releasing very stable ROM's I highly recomend them

Re: Next WM release any time soon?

Ok I have questions for all of you who wants a new build ...... Honestly what is the benefit .... what is it that you notice from the last build of WM6.1 ...... Why are you concerned with a build number ...... When are you gonna put the hours in to port a QVGA SYS to a VGA device ... and make it bug free ... if you are ready to flash for a build number why have you not searched the forums .. found a build .. and gave it to the people that be ....

Are you serious with that? Okay....

As a "Senior Member" I'm surprised. It's not the mere fact that each release has a new build number, it's the fact that with each incrementation of that build number usually comes better functionality/features, as well as possible bugs, being that most of our ports are from other devices.

What is it that I notice in the latest 20273 build? Speedier applications, more RAM, better core windows mobile functionality. You know what else? That same build came from one developer, whereas the build 20270 came from a whole team and it was riddled with bugs that were barely fixed even after release.

So I'm not concerned with just a build number. That and the improved functionality go hand in hand, in most cases. I've already delved into how I feel for each development.

And I'm not going into the childish "why don't you do it and see how hard it is" game. I'm not going to port over a ROM because 1)I don't know how and 2) there were people here dedicated to that task and were being rewarded for it.

And stop with the over-use of ellipses. It discredits your argument.
