Thats it!!! This rom is basically clean or light besides what third-party apps that I added .... Re: JD's ROM's

just flashed it, think im gonna try it for the weekend and see how i like it.

1) almost 15 mb free at boot? doesnt all that stripping down help that number out.

2) its not UC compatible, correct? im not sure bc im in the process of making my own UC so i dont know if mine isnt working right or if its just not compatible.

anyways, thanks for the work. ive read up on some of your work with the touch so im excited to have you on the 6800

---installed some cabs manually, reboot, hit hibernate with quickmenu and now i got 19 mb of ram. either way it is very responsive and quick.

no this is not a rom made by the microwave ....... lol (thanks to all involved in making the eazy bake oven .... this is a joke so lol don't get mad )

to send mms with alltel you may need the arcsoft program and the setting for alltels servers ..........

after checking, it seems that he set the pagepool at 12mb for optimal performance, the default is 4mb so theres 8mb already.

"1) almost 15 mb free at boot? doesnt all that stripping down help that number out."

yeah I tried it out this high for now ... this is just a test rom I made I plan on lowering it .... It hasn't caused any performance issues has it

Re: JD's ROM's

for the guy with alltel mms problems, i have had no problems with mms after doing this: install whatever dcd's latest carrier cab is for roms like his or i did it for JD's too (no2's doesnt need it) then install the attached arcosft file and it works fine.

little report from me about this rom-

my biggest problem is that ive had some problems with slow data connections. when im loading a page like ppcgeeks or xda-devs with a lot of icons and links it takes a very long time for the speed to get up to full capacity. im not completely sure its the rom, but ive never had this problem before- most of the time my internet is working at the same speed consistently. (but i did just move from radio 3.39 to 3.42.30 so im wondering if that is a factor)

the rom is still fast and the ram at boot really doesnt affect me because ive learned to only use apps that dont hog up memory. (im at ~19 or 18 for the most part at boot) could someone link a page where i can learn about pagepool though, i really dont know too much about it right now...

still having button press problems that is just part of these newer roms (the two softkeys' hardbuttons sometimes take a couple presses to work)

gps connects sometimes in 30 seconds sometimes in a couple minutes, but i get good locks with about 5-6 satellites on avg

Thanks for the report ...... the internet connection is something that I only experience when loading like you said a site filled with images (it happened with my vogue too) so it may just be one of those things I would take your phone in to be looked at about those hard button issues ... Mine work just fine ..

Re: JD's ROM's

OMG!

that ROM is a BEAST!!! 25.4mb RAM after reset with your default 8mb Page Pool. it is SCREAMING FAST!!! opened the windows folder and it took less than a second. flashed it again with a modified 4mb Page Pool and got 28.7mb after reset and it was still FAST. only bug i had was that the camera button did not work. i had to go to the windows folder and run the Camera exe file to use the camera. i prefer the gsfinder that use in your other ROM's and maybe, i could've created a shortcut of the camera exe file to the programs folder then map the camera button. other than that this is absolutely the FASTEST mogul ROM i've used. :headbang:

btw. to others out there, you really need to try this ROM (whenever JD uploads it) you will not be disappointed with this one!

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Keys\4 0C5]

change 40C5 to 40C4 and that will fix the camera link

Re: JD's ROM's

I am using 6mg page pool and still had over 24 megs left, nice. I think this may be the fastest rom I tired so far on my titan.

I did notice that I can not remove the bottom bar with this rom, and my top bar went away once.

FYI
I did use spb back up 2 with rom update without over writing any files.
I didnt have these issues with either bars on my last rom.
