Re: JD's ROM's

my 2 cents is that i dont play any games on my phone, nor keep them on my sd card. which leads to the fact why i had to get off this rom for now, i couldnt use the sd card more than once without having a problem, whether it was copying something to the card or using something from the card or just trying to find something on it.

but i have also never used windows live. i would think people would use office mobile more than play solitaire or use windows live, right...?
i mean, if you are trying to make this rom as clean and barebone as possible......gotta be consistent

Thats cool but the only way I can fix a problem is if I know what kinds of problem you in particular had .....

  • problems copy/pasting from computer to sd card via activesync connection
    • my resolution: take out cd card and reinsert
  • problems accessing files on sd card from phone

  • problems saving picture files to sd card (not the "problem" that pictures were saved into a separate folder named with the date the picture was taken; the pictures i took just didn't save onto my sd card)
    • my resolution: take out sd card and reinsert
    *SanDisk 1GB SD Card*
hopefully this will help to resolve the problem

Re: JD's ROM's

No need for games for me the only one I occasionally play is Astraware Casino.....don't use Windows live......I did re-install Office as I need it for work....

Everything has been great for me....the only issue I had was the SD card....and it only happened one time to me.....

I have read through that. Actually, I read multiple tutorials before I started flashing. I probably read for at least 20 hours or more because I was so chicken I would brick my phone before I flashed the first time. I now have it down pat.

Perhaps my questions need to be more specific.
1)Does this build need to be done by SD card? IF so, I'm probably SOL. I've tried 3 different cards (regular, not HC), formatted to FAT32, 1024k without luck.
2) If it can be done through the PPCGeeks kitchen, which BuildOS Update do I choose?

Thanks.

No.....it is done through a noid RUU......hook up your phone to the PC......DL the file and just extract the signed NBH and then place it in the noid RUU I have attached and then run the RUU inside of it.......then follow the on-screen prompts....fairly simple process....if you have any problems let me know....

Thank you, thank you. I forgot about that as option #3. I should be able to do that tonight.

One last question. Does it need to be renamed TITAIMG.nbh, or is that only for SD flashing?

Re: JD's ROM's

It should be named RUU_signed

I thought installing Resco got rid of the card issue. I tried taking some pictures today to show my wife some dogs from the pet store and got home only to not find any pictures. I tried searching everywhere pictures would be stored and couldn't access anything on my Sandisk 4GB microSDHC.
