Yes, and the updated PIE is not "top secret, hush hush" it has been talked about in several places, and I believe was announced by MS when they announced WM6.1. Not to say the OP is lying, perhaps he truly believes his "source", but I don't understand why people insist on adding sensationalisms like "Level 4 Research Team" in order to sound important. :disgust:

Yes, it's all very hush hush. Which is why they publicly announced their plans to incorporate Flash Lite 3, Silverlight, and h.264 support almost four months ago. Follow this link, but only if you are part of the Level 4 development team (it's top secret).

And, as others have said, it makes absolutely no sense that MS would release any kind of video drivers for HTC devices. The only thing that they are updating is WMDC for a few minor changes brought about by WM6.1.

Wow such optimism in these forums. Yes Microsoft has a Level 4 research team. It is not some ``Covert Operation`` We have been discussing this with HTC for sometime and they have refused production for video drivers stating that ``` HTC makes these devices for work not play, and this precisely why we have not released them before.`` SUN and Adobe are making these Updates and Microsoft has agreed to licence them. The customers have always been our top priority so we look forward to this update.

Agreed, Microsoft would not be releasing drivers for hardware that isn't their. That would be solely up to HTC to develop and release. Microsoft makes the base software, ie. windows mobile, and the device makers created drivers to interface and work with that software....

And you wouldn't be getting these driver updates from WMDC anyway.... I mean come on, that's like saying you're getting software updates for the phone thru activesync...

Please stop making posts like this when you obviously have no idea what you're talking about. Just because you "heard" it from someone else doesn't necessarily mean it's true. Beside you have so much false information in here anyway.

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if Microsoft started putting hardware drivers inside of Windows Mobile... but I seriously doubt that is going to happen before WM7.
