Need help Please!! Problems Upgrading to new Official Rom.

Ok first post and i have a real issue.
I Have never run a custom rom and i am trying to update to the latest official htc rom posted jul 21. I understand that if flashing an official rom there is nothing that needs to be done but to run the .exe. but every time i run the program it gets stuck in bootloader with the three colors. My current rom is the previous update with rev a and gps. It doesnt go past 0% and the phone just goes to the bootloader screen with the red green blue and gray colors. any suggestions??? I really need some help as i really want to install 6.1 but everytime i run the RUU activesync closes and it appears my pc does not recognize my Mogul and then the bootloader screen comes up. the screen says.
TITA100
SPL-2.06.0000
CPLD-9
The gray section says USB. if i remove the usb cable it says serial.

Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance!!

How long do you let it sit before you abort, sometimes it takes a few mins before everything starts.

Once your pc shows the progress bar, unplug the cable from the phone and plug it back in. I have this happen all the time and that is the only way that I have gotten it to work.

Re: Need help Please!! Problems Upgrading to new Official Rom.

I tried unplugging the usb cable when the progress bar appears and it gives me the connection error(202). The phone is still getting stuck in bootloader mode until i restart it. I don't understand why this is happening, my phone is completely stock.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Ive already done a hard reset, re-installed activesync and rebooted my PC.
Thanks!!

Re: Need help Please!! Problems Upgrading to new Official Rom.

I had similar problems and there were 2 things I needed to do and then it worked perfectly.

First I had to turn off Norton 360's Auto-Protect feature and the firewall.

That would get me past the rainbow screen and stop Vista from trying to install a new device driver. But then the device would freeze on the progress bar screen with 0 progress and an error message would pop-up on my PC.

I found out this was a common problem for Vista users and that many had been able to successfully update their Mogul by going back to the HTC update page, clicking on the ROM link, and selecting RUN instead of saving to disk.

I was skeptical but I tried it last night and it worked perfectly.

Re: Need help Please!! Problems Upgrading to new Official Rom.

Ok so i tried to run instead of save and nothing changes. goes to bootloader instead of updating to the new rom.

FYI i also tried the titan bootloader exiter and all that did was restart the phone

Does anyone have any other suggestions??????????????????

Re: Need help Please!! Problems Upgrading to new Official Rom.

you should check out flashing with your sd card.

To get the signed_ruu.nbh file from the official rom open the exe file with winrar and extract the file from there.

I had to do all that the other week when I first tried to put 20226 on my phone

Plus I heard that people have problems flashing with vista. I have xp so I would know nothing about that.

I cant find the thread so its quicker for me to just give you a short version.
pretty much like this.

format a microSD card(2gb or smaller) to fat32. By right clicking the drive on the pc and choose format.
copy that signed_ruu.nbh file to the card and rename it to titaimg.nbh.

Make sure you either have olipro2.40 or no2chem's nueSPL 2.47.
Either will work the same.

Insert sd card into slot and put phone into bootloader.

the phone will pretty much do the rest. Soft reset when everything is completed it takes a while.

For better directions look through some threads but thats pretty much it. I dont know why it still isnt sticked.
