Re: mms on vz xv6800 after updating to sprint rom
Put this cab on and it will make your MMS work. It is a cab with MMS fixed for VZW. The cab came from xda.

No this is the alltel cab. Sprint does not support MMS for some reason. There are threads about sending MMS through email floating around though.

Re: mms on vz xv6800 after updating to sprint rom
I installed the cab file but whenever I try to send a message to anyone it says error address cannot be found and I cant recieve any picture messages either...is there any setting that I need to change in the server settings in the messaging options for mms? It does show verizon wireless as the network in those settings.

Re: mms on vz xv6800 after updating to sprint rom
In the MMS Configuration choose Verizon Wireless server settings -
Server name: Verizon Wireless Gateway: leave blank Port Number : 80 Server Address: http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms |

Re: mms on vz xv6800 after updating to sprint rom
I suspect his error actually reads " Originator address cannot be found". To fix this he needs to install GC's cab again. Sometimes the setup dll doesn't get the X-VzW-MDN input... Just run it again.....

Re: mms on vz xv6800 after updating to sprint rom
The only other thing I can suggest is to check these registry settings on your phone.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\WspHeader] "X-VzW-MDN"="myphonenumber" (string! not DWORD) "User-Agent"="utstar67kv1" "Accept"="application/vnd.wap.multipart.related" |
