You need to have a registry editor to do so. Go here to find one for free.

Re: mms on vz xv6800 after updating to sprint rom
Look for SMMS which is floating around on the boards here somewhere. It sends picmail through the sprint website. It is donationware but has a ~8sec nag screen when starting and when sending if you don't donate $5 or more. If you donate it will also automatically grab pictures as they come in (or so I hear). Works very nicely though and is relatively as seamless as a real MMS app. Sending through email is a huge PITA as you have to know their carrier (or look it up somehow). SMMS works much better.

Re: mms on vz xv6800 after updating to sprint rom
MMS is multimedia message service. allows attachments which SMS short message service does not. seems that some carriers and the Iphone people would rather you use an email account to send and recieve.

Re: mms on vz xv6800 after updating to sprint rom
I've followed everything here and still am getting the "Originator Address not found" error.
I have un-installed and re-installed the "GC Arcsoft MMS 5.0.31.25fixed.zip" .cab and updated the registry settings... Is there any info I can provide to help diagnose this? |

Re: mms on vz xv6800 after updating to sprint rom
I am in the same boat. I have tried the Arcsoft CAB a few times and edited all of the mentioned reg settings.
One other additional piece of the puzzle, it keeps blowing out the "vzw" password and prompting me for it. I have tried the remember check box in the dialog and editing it in the connection settings. It just wont stick. That makes me think it is trying to connect to the wrong server, but the server URL is correct. |
