ok in the previous thread I reported an issue with not being able to align the screen, I thing the issue has to do with FtouchSL as i disabeled FtouchSL now I can align the screen.

Nice checklist! Will cut down on useless questions....

No2chem, how do you want to handle the submission of suggestions for new (Nue lol) features for your review? I made one in the 2.1 thread before it was closed. I assume you saw it but never heard your thoughts on it.

Nice work, you're truly taking things to the next level by getting these threads organized, it will only make things easier on you!

Ok, here's a useful comment/question-
Are the fonts the same story as the last couple of NueRoms?
I spent days meddling with the registry to change the font settings to be closer to the stock size I was used to (some text boxes came out strange with the new fonts Nuerom defaults with) and I don't even remember what combination of things fixed it for me.

Not looking forward to doing that again...

no2, the Reply All issue still seems to be there. At least it says "reply all," not sure if it actually does or not.

Well, no one bothered answering, but the newest HTC home still crashes. HOWEVER (and this will be of particular interest to one flirtatious board member here) the lock button on the older working versions DOES work again. So, yay :)

lol that was subtle. thanks for the update Maybe we should forward this on to No2chem so he can edit it into his 'Annoucements' thread? Enough people seem interested in knowing this works...

I have no clue, but be patient, no2chem will look into it. Pagepool not working could be a deal breaker for some, so I'm sure he'll prioritize getting it fixed.

Till then keep testing with the 'measley' 26~27 mb you get at startup...

well I had to post here, the first reply post in the report thread called it a bug,

nueLock disables the hardware end button.

I want (need) it to be this way. hate waiting on hold forever only to bump the button and lose the call. what do others think?

I suppose we can make that selectable.

Generally the purpose of a keylock is to prevent pocket dialing when the phone is NOT in use, not to prevent accidental button presses when it IS. So that would be the point of the key lock not locking the key you requested. I'm unaware of any key locks that lock the keys while you're actively using the phone, but I may be missing something.

That said, your idea DOES actually sound pretty interesting, and could be a useful new type of function in addition to what a lock is usually used for. I could see myself using it on occasion.

Re: nueROM 2.2 Bleeding Edge General Discussion Thread

I saw other posts about not being able to sync with Mail2web. I'm not sure if this is a mail2web problem, or pre8 problem. I was running 5060 this morning, and syncing with Mail2web with no problem this morning. I loaded pre8 today, and after setting up Activesync with mail2web settings (as I have done after each ROM flash), for the first time I am not able to make a successful sync connection with Mail2web. I'm going to keep playing with it, but thought I'd post since I saw others reporting similar issues in connection with Pre8. Jeff

What is the stock PP on this ROM? I just flashed it so I'm obviously not going to go in and change it right away lol.

Tried several downloads and attempted several times to install via storage card. Failed each time.

What are the chances of a future update to NueUpdate to allow a user to choose a file on the storage card? Just wondering if it might be a reasonable work around for such troubles?

Edit:
PagePool Changer did work for me.

your right there was no lock app for wm5/6 that actually locks ALL buttons.
s2u2 was close, but didn't work properly on apache & mogul. A_C, actually added a feature to turn on the answer/end keys while locked. (meaning by default these should be disabled.)

its kindof confusing, that's why I'm continuing the convers, just want to make sure we're all on the same page.

Re: nueROM 2.2 Bleeding Edge General Discussion Thread

I was still having problems with mail2web exchange all day until I plugged the phone into my computer and synced through activesync. For some reason it worked syncing through my computers wifi. Now it works fine without being plugged in. Its like it jump started it or something. Also for those having issues with the nue locking feature, Matt Armstrongs devicelock now works in pre8. It was NOT working in pre7. Its an older app that uses the buillt in devicelock. Simple, small and works everytime.

Sorry, you're correct. I typed it wrong. Stock is 4.
Maybe I should just go to bed. I've been up 20 hours and my eyes are bugg'n out. My KITCHEN is set to 4 by default. Duh. Sorry everyone.

No2, feel free to delete. ;-)

Any reason why in the EPST menu the rev a option no longer shows using 2.1/2.2 roms, with kitchen builds and no2's earlier it does ? Was it taken out because too many people kept asking if it should be enabled/disabled ?

anyway, I was looking at the way carrier customizations are setup, I am thinking of moving it to the storage card since it doesn't make any sense to me why you should have multiple carrier junk in the ROM. There will also be a control panel applet that should let you install from the internet or select another carrier if you need to do so.
