I seached in the basekit and found the OEMAGW.DLL, removed it, re-cooked, then added teh MSVC reg key and my bt voice command is back...

Here's what I did. Please forgive the noobness. I can only guess as to why this worked. Even a blind squirrel gets a nut now and then...

-- Update your PPCKitchen_OEM.rar --

1) I started over by deleting ALL of the NueROM3 subfolders folders in the kitchen, and copied them into the Kitchen again from the NueROM rar. (see attached jpeg)

2) Extracted all the apps with Winrar from PPCKitchen_OEM.rar

3) Deleted the apps I had in USER_OEM. THEN, copied the app subfolders to USER_OEM in the Kitchen (see attached jpeg) -- note that I'm using Vista... Again, starting from scratch...

4) Connected device via USB and Allowed ActiveSync to do its thing.

5) Started PPCKitchen

6) Opened the NueROM3_Selections.txt

7) Selected the stuff I wanted -- including both Voice Command

8.. Allowed the build to go -- I received errors on the chess app, AND both Voice Command after doing this twice -- did not delete the stuff from temp folder between tries.

9) The phone started - and curiously it started the Sprint setup, even tho I had selected VZW -- the files weren't there, so I just did a soft reset cause the Sprint stuff froze it.

10) Once restarted, I found that Voice Command was NOT in the personal "Settings," found after I clicked on it from the main start menu.

11) I installed Resco reg editor, and looked in to the HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\ LO AND BEHOLD the "Path" item was missing!

12) I created the Path entry and created the value "\Program Files\Voice Command\voicecmd.exe -- IT STUCK!

13) Installed my registered MSVC from the PC by activating the exe file and following the instructions to install on the Titan -- INSTALL TO DEVICE

14) I followed the forum.xda linked-text to ensure that --

To check your audio gateway:
  1. Goto HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\AudioGateway
  2. Ensure BTAGExtModule is set to “\Windows\vcbthag.dll” or “\Program Files\Voice Command\vcbthag.dll” (or another location depending on where your MSVC files are located).
  3. SOFT RESET the phone
  4. Wait about 60 seconds after restart to ensure all services are started
You should now be able to use your BT headset to initiate the audio gateway and initialize Voice Command.

After that BT commands via earpiece button were no prob!

The problem is that you know what you're doing, and I don't have a clue.

MSVC version: 1.60.4622.0

I deleted the whole folder, then simply re-cooked. I then just added the Path reg key and it works fine. Now that I have fixed that I still seem to be getting the Sleep of Death problems with Pre 3! Seems to be direct push related...

However, you can grab a copy of \Program Files\MS Voice Command\vcbthag.dll (or \Windows\vcbthag.dll if installed from OEM), rename it to oemagw.dll and overwrite \Windows\oemagw.dll. Works fine and survives soft reset.
