Yeah, I know. I just can't get more than about six of them to install on stock ROM's or DCD's. Not sure what's up or why, but I get a LOT of error messages from nuepackageinstaller.

Re: nueROM 2.2 Bleeding Edge General Discussion Thread
i'm only running some of the ones on the www.nuerom.com website. Plus in that package there's gotta be some outdated tools so i wouldn't be surprised if they didn't work on the new roms.

1% battery driver Ext_Rom unlock/lock LED Audio Fonts Light Mass Storage (USBtoPC) Minutes Performance PowerCPL Sliding KB Sliding sound pack from Raphael Storage Manager (Format SD card, etc) Park (find your car using GPS) These are all of No2Chem's NueTools CABs that I have. There's probably a few more out there. There's also quite a few regedits to be done to a stock ROM that need to be done to make it even come close to what NueRoms give you. I am not knowledgeable about all the performance hacks that No2Chem has done to his ROMs, but I am sure that it is quite extensive. A couple of the visual hacks I had to do to the Sprint 3.56 rom was to change the clock on the title bar to display the date and time together and to open up the phone/settings menu to display full roaming options, EVDO mode only select and a few other things in the menu that are stock on NueROM. With the Sprint 3.56, you also have to hack the Internet Sharing to get back the ability to tether. I have those around here somewhere if those are some of the things you are interested in as well. The only reason that I am not running the last stable NueROM release is that I found that the Sprint 3.56 rom's GPS didn't need to be primed for GPS software. This is something that NueROM pre-8 achieved as well, but I was having problems with programs not running in the background, such as Navizon, that the 3.56 ROM seemed to handle ok. The downside of the 3.56 ROM is that it has so much useless junk on it that my storage memory is at its limit. A problem that I never had while running NueROM. |
