So this is what I have done for additional tweaking

I changed the page pool to 6.5MB
Disabled poutlook.ink from startup
Disable znueHibernate.ink from startup

Services I disabled from startup are OBEX, CERTENROLL, SWMGMTSERVICE, SoftwareDisable, nueSlindingKB, nueDeviceLock, SMSRetry, PhoneExt, and Power.

One thing I noticed was a HTCDispSrvc which was set to auto start but cannot start. Is this something to do with Direct3d?

Well besides battery life which was somewhat brutal today before I set the above settings I will report back tomorrow with what I get. I changed all Power management settings to enabled now and I will see what happens. I also set data to turn off after 15 min of inactivity.

You are the man No2Chem, I look froward to the RC release. I never thought I would see the day of a spontaneous screen orientation. Well the day has come. I will be shooting you a nice pay pal donation this week.

Thanks,

Mikee
those all sound like decent tweaks, you do them for each rom upgrade? i'll have to do some more research, but i might join you in using some of those. thanks.

I've been using Sashimi to customize. Mine takes about 45 minutes. However, I cannot confirm what you're experiencing, only because I only installed a few things I really needed on this ROM, rather than running Sashimi!

I do hope your experience isn't typical!

i havent had the mental energy to tackle sashimi yet... i'm sure i could learn it.. but it still seems daunting but just like most things i'm sure it's worth the reward once you set it to your liking.

I was wondering - was about to try this new ROM, however, I remember before pre-7 you removed the "menu sounds". I know, I know, I am weird, but I like those sounds. Is there a .cab around that will allow me to put them back in, or is there another way to do it?

I am still trying to figure out a few things with ShaShimi. All-in-All it's a great tool. I wish I knew a way to deal with programs that require user interaction during installation. If I didn't have to click things it would probably take 20 minutes to install everything!

That is the reason for the Manual Auto Mode in Shashimi. Put those Cab files that do require user input into the Manual directory and then run the Manual + Auto selection - takes just a few minutes to go through those that require intervention and then it takes off and finishes on auto-pilot. Shashimi really isn't daunting at all just put your files into the appropriate directory and start tweaking from there. You find yourself getting down to pulling a few inane registry entries just because you can and they are all you have left to play with once everything else gets automated.

What I was trying to figure out with shashimi in the auto folder does how does it know where to install the file device or sd card. Thats my biggest problem with shashimi. I was thinking along the lines that you setup in the auto folder.. Tell it where you wanted it to install for each file, like a one time setup configuration thing. Then choose auto and watch it install the files to the device and sd card base on the configuration you setup.

Oh Well ... If implimented this idea it would be great

Filename device sd/ card Manual Auto

Example.cab √ √

Example2.cab √ √

Cause we install the sames files over and over therefore
we know where they need to go..
