I could not deal with the nue locking feature though so I disabled the service until it is selectable. Also the bluetooth did not drop or turn off at all. Man I cannot wait for a basekit!

So this is what I have done for additional tweaking

I changed the page pool to 6.5MB
Disabled poutlook.ink from startup
Disable znueHibernate.ink from startup

Services I disabled from startup are OBEX, CERTENROLL, SWMGMTSERVICE, SoftwareDisable, nueSlindingKB, nueDeviceLock, SMSRetry, PhoneExt, and Power.

One thing I noticed was a HTCDispSrvc which was set to auto start but cannot start. Is this something to do with Direct3d?

Well besides battery life which was somewhat brutal today before I set the above settings I will report back tomorrow with what I get. I changed all Power management settings to enabled now and I will see what happens. I also set data to turn off after 15 min of inactivity.

You are the man No2Chem, I look froward to the RC release. I never thought I would see the day of a spontaneous screen orientation. Well the day has come. I will be shooting you a nice pay pal donation this week.

Thanks,

Mikee
those all sound like decent tweaks, you do them for each rom upgrade? i'll have to do some more research, but i might join you in using some of those. thanks.

Yes I do that after every rom upgrade that I don't make in the kitchen. As for today I posted above a 20% better battery life. I need to find where the battery drain is though. It sure seems that its going down mighty faster than previous roms and one's I cook.

Then I deleted 'znuehibernate' and the 'outlook' from windows > startupSo now i'm just monitoring the performance to see if i notice any difference in performance. Batt life for me has been consistenly good, since disabling those items it's definately gotten even better! thanks Mikee for making me aware of these tweaks.

My question what is the downside of disabling those items?

One of my biggest things I notice with my battery performance first it takes forever to get 100%, immediately upon unplugging it goes from 100% to 96%, within 5 minutes top it's at 90%. It seems to perform better around 70% where it does not drop as fast.

Re: nueROM 2.2 Bleeding Edge General Discussion Thread

Just wanted to say for the heavy GPS users out there, Prev.8 + Titan Radio 3.42.30 is nothing short of mind blowing. Give it a try.

Im not exactly sure which one did it, because I upgraded both the radio and the rom at the same time, but holy sh*t. GPS locks in about under 2 second, inside my house, with 11 satellites.

Preview 5 + 3.42.02 radio took about 30 seconds, and only got 6 satellites inside my house.

Friggin sweet!

I just flashed my radio to the one you linked (3.42.30). Previously, I was on 3.42.02. GPStoday would lock in 9 seconds inside my home. After flashing to .30, I locked in the exact same amount of time - 8 seconds. No improvement.

I'm running pre8. I always take these "WOW" statements with a grain of salt....
