dont get too settled with this 3pre1, i have a feeling no2chem may push something our way this weekend... it's been about a week since the last update. **I'm not getting this on any authority from him, just my personal feeling so dont hold him OR me to it...

LOL.... you seem to have taken a page out of the Sprint book. Maybe a release on the 14th... or is it the 28th ? I can't stand the wait.

Camera is off permanently with this version of nuerom3. Thats where all the extra memory was pulled from.

Sorry for the stupid question (since you used 'permanently').

Is there anyway to install a camera using NeuROM3 pre1? I tried to use the cabs found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...32#post2635832, and either one caused the device to freeze completely when attempting to activate the camera.

The camera app displays, but freezes the device, requiring a soft reset.

Hmmm... Is that what <b>premanent</b> means.

it's amazing what a difference just a few mb of memory can make on this device. memory has been my frustration from the beginning and seeing this project is very encouraging for the future of the titan. I must say, I'm less intrigued at the thought of spending another $300+ on a diamond/touch pro when this could possibly be the stability/performance we've been lookin for. At least will get me by until it's actually time to upgrade with the carrier! Only other alternative is to cancel verizon, pay $150 cancel fee and hop on crappy sprint service and pay $300 for touch pro.. eek pricey.

Oh I never had any doubt Verizon was goin to get them... it's just a matter of when... Verizon is typically behind Sprint by about 6 months on pda releases.

Again, just more of motivating factor to get the most out of titan to last until then. I'm really excited to see what no2 does with this memory advantage.. if he can truly make it on/off easily to get the camera back... I'm so addicted to the memory I'm actually flashing ROMs back and forth as I need the camera lol.

Yeah. It's great to just run the GPS, Skyfire, MSVC, messaging and a few others at the same time.

I upped the page pool in the ROM to 16 - wow!

So now I carry an old 3 megapixal Kodak Easyshare.
