What is everybody seeing for battery life? I reflashed with pre-9 (was using 5069k) and I see a precipitous drop in battery life. I believe all of my settings are the same as when I was using 50-69k (yes I turned off beam). Are there any battery saving tricks people are using? Thanks.

I assume you mean pre-8? I just checked the FTP site and did not see a pre-9 build out there....

Use advanced config.....in sd power management try to enable all and if that does not work try disabling them all

I am pretty sure when I was running pre 8 I enabled SD power management and the problem was resolved....I think that is the only one I changed....I am no longer using it so I cannot be sure...

Cant speak for pre8 since i haven't flashed it, but w/ pre7 i get fair battery life, seems slightly less than what i used to get from my 5067 build made in the PPCKitchen.

In fact, i was thinkin about cookin up a new 5067 ROM (at least until the next no2 release) but then i'll miss the xtra RAM and hardware switch...

My experience w/ Pre7 is that it lasts thru the entire day, but if i dont charge it that night, it wont make it thru the next day... My experience w/ 5067 was that it would last two days, then required a good charging...

Well, when i was running 5065 for like ever, i didn't have as much drain as this... but i am also using the built in outlook for 2 imap emails instead of flex mail for like 8 imaps lol

the other thing i've noticed is that when it connects to the inet, it never d/c the inet, it leaves it running. i'm gonna have to edit the registry to have it time out. with flexmail installed i never had that problem, even when running it as "push mail."

i'm just too busy/aka/lazy to set up flexmail because there's a lot of settings i have to do and then all my email addresses arrrrg!

BTW this might not be the appropriate place to ask but, could you guys recommend some software that can access my PIM backup files? I need to pull some txt msgs out of that file since the phone will no longer restore it hahaha its like 300 txt's to/from 1 person

TIA!
