I copied all the oems i wanted into useroem and built with no problems. easier to manage too, including the whole ppckitchen.rar in the build process is so cluttered and messy! ;)

I have not cooked yet.....mine was there on the original...

I can verify, 100% that cooking and using the precooked are 2 totally different things. My cooked ROM doesn't had the ActiveSync issue I have with the precooked. Why? Not sure...maybe it's one of my MANY OEMS I use in EVERY kitchen EVERY time I cook.

Flyers, you know how how am without my OEMS, too. I'm like a deaf-mute at a preacher's rally. :???: (no offense to any of the deaf-mutes out there)

This hasn't been mentioned yet, but I bet a lot of ppl haven't even noticed. the beam is turned on to accept all incoming beams by default. Turn it off if you don't need it to increase battery life!

How can I change my outlook exchange settings? I would like to change it to update every 5 mins, instead of being on constant direct push. I don't see the options anymore.

MSVC BT earpiece commands working on NueROM3!

I kinda fell into this solution.

I've been using the kitchen all along. However, I had been installing the lastest version of MSVC (that I had paid for) from the PC.

Like
flyers2114, I couldn't modify the MSVC reg settings - I tried 3 different reg editors.

It became clear that the reg was part of the ROM.

So.. I tried to install MSVC from PPC_Kitchen_OEM.rar by copying the MSVC folders (There's several versions) in to User_OEM, then cooking the ROM.

It just did not seem to work -- I tried and tried. The result was always a freeze on the phone when I would select "Settings" from the menu. I suspected that either my cooking procedure was incorrect, or the MSVC version that I tried was not compatitble with the cooked-in reg entries.

I just kept trying - Hey! I guess I'm one of those ppl who attempt the same thing over and over again, expecting a different outcome :drunken:

Anyway, I started getting a build error that the MSVC program "manifest" couldn't be read by PPC Kitchen. Well, I kept installing anyway.

Once I had the phone back up. I tried going into settings - I could! But, no MSVC :(

I then installed the retail version from my PC.

It worked!

AND I was able to make the registry entries required for the bluetooth earpiece button to initiate the audio gateway for commands -- In other words EUREKA! =D>

Perhaps someone with more experience in mixing apps with the NeuROM3 pre3 Kitchen could actually install one of the MSVC progs from the PPC_Kitchen_OEM.rar and be more successful?

I can't get registry changes to stick.

I've used a registered copy Resco Registry Editor to make mods that I need for MSVC for bluetooth, and whatever I enter doesn't save to the registry. ](*,)

Anyone have ideas on this?

Please

i had this issue in pre-1 but no one else did. after that i started using the built in reg editor.

I'm new at this, so forgive the stupid question.

What is the "the built in reg editor?"

Thanks,
