HELP!

I'm probably showing noobness here by asking this.

For some reason I can't make registry changes stick. I've used both Resco and PHMreg. I even deleted the entry that I wanted to modify, recreated the key, then saved -- The original value keeps coming back.

Can someone tell me what to do to make the registry in pre3 writeable?

Thank!

Same prob. as me! I think the registry may be "read only?"

If I hit the record button on the phone itself, it activates the audiogateway in my BT headset, then I can issue a command via BT. I can NOT get the button on the headset/earpiece to work to initiate the audio gateway.

So... We both tried the reg edit for this, and it won't stick.

I just edited the registry on mine to set the scroll bar to 8. Rebooted and it took effect.

I have not paired up my phone to my headset yet, but I can do that later and test MSVC/

If I remember correctly there was an issue with this in previous ROMS - I can't remember exactly but I thought No2chem put an option in settings to commit the registry and reboot? This could have been another rom though...

I've reflashed a couple of times, and even swapped out the Bluetooth drivers for the ones in Pre 2 and my Bluetooth is still not working

So, the first thing I do is disable all the sleep, suspend or hibernate stuff.

still having the activsync popups ... but i did adopt your advice here about disabling the auto power off settings! makes sense thanks for the tip.

You're welcome!

After getting pre2 working for me -- still only experienced one activesync popup -- I went to pre3 b/c I am trying to modify the MSVC registry settings, couldn't get 'em to stick in pre2, so went to pre3 -- still can't get the mods to the registry to stick, tho.

it's in the power&backlight control panel. (man do I like that panel!:headbang:)
I'm curious what happened with nueShutdown though (included in 2.2pre's).. it had the reboot option.
anyway, what reg edit are you using? i'm using dotFred, and have no issues changing any reg. (not used msvc for many months) btw, dodFred's has a reboot option in the menu.
and so far pooky006's regedit's have stopped activesync. Thanks, good call!
