Re: nueROM 2.2 Bleeding Edge Report Thread

When I had this issue, opening & closing the keyboard allowed me to continue my autoconfig (using UC) without resetting.

Re: nueROM 2.2 Bleeding Edge Report Thread

ROM Version you are running: Pre8
Applications you have installed: OperaBeta951,weatherpanel
Carrier:sprint

Describe concisely, the issue you are experiencing:
Backlight settings on external power have no effect. IE, it is set to always be lit on external power, but it still turns off after a short while. I have seen this issue on and off in various roms over the last few months, never posted about it, and searches for "backlight external" yield nothing

Describe, step by step how to reproduce this issue:
Noting fancy, just set to "never" in the backlight settings, then wait

Describe what you expected to happen:
Backlight should stay on

Re: nueROM 2.2 Bleeding Edge Report Thread

no2chem 2.2pre8
SPB phone suite 1.3
Sprint

Issue:
1) USB as mass storage - drive cuts out from system periodically - maybe every 15 seconds - then PC shows wizard to install new device. This stopped after a few times i connected the phone to the PC.

Work around:
I unplugged and plugged the phone again and the issue persisted, so i got the files i needed. After a while though, it finally "stuck" and i didn't have to replug it again.

2) While trying to set up exchange, top tool bar gone (windows menu, time, battery, date etc).

Work around:
Soft reset and it came back. No more problems since then.

3) Blue tooth control didn't show up under SPB phone suite 1.3 on install.

Work around:
I turned bluetooth on manually through the commanager, and then it appeared in the SPB menu.

Re: nueROM 2.2 Bleeding Edge Report Thread

I just upgraded my rom and now I'm having a problem loading the phone

The phone loads past the spash screen and the windows 6.1 screen but it says

"this concludes the beta test of this software release..." and it won't let me get past this screen or do anything. It won't let me sync so I can load a different rom on the phone either.

Please tell me what to do

Please carefully follow the method of posting a bug report described in the first post. In particular, you don't note what version ROM you're using. None of us have experienced this in current 2.2s, so I suspect you're using an older version. The timebomb existed in the 2.1 5069 line all the way through J, and I think it existed in 2.2 preview 1, but not since then.

Re: nueROM 2.2 Bleeding Edge Report Thread

I apologize. I'm just frustrated and trying to get out of work with a working phone in my hand.

ROM Version you are running: nueROM v2.2 preview
Applications you have installed: None
Carrier: Sprint

Describe concisely, the issue you are experiencing:
The phone loads past the HTC splash screens and loads windows 6.1. Then it reads
"This concludes the beta test of this software release. Thank you very much for your time and effort in helping make this a great product for our customers.

To obtain a newer release or further information, please revisit the web site that you used to obtain your current beta release."

It won't let me do anything after that. None of the hard buttons do anything, nor does hard resetting or taking out the battery

Describe what you expected to happen:
1st issue - expected the phone to load properly. Unsure of what to do

Re: nueROM 2.2 Bleeding Edge Report Thread

I think this means that I must have installed 2.2 preview 1 because I notice the second one "preview2" on the ftp

When your in the FTP scroll towards the top and you will see 2.2 pre8. Thats the most current. You are on the first one.

Re: nueROM 2.2 Bleeding Edge Report Thread

Here are my issues:

1) The device lock came up on my first boot and crash the first boot agent. I ran the device anyway and it was laggy and non-responsive, would miss keys on texting, etc.

So I hard reset it today.

Now here are the issues I've found:

1) Skyfire is COMPLETELY unusable on this ROM. I hadn't tried Skyfire since any of the preview builds (it worked awesome on 5069k) but it works atrociously in this ROM.

2) The screen lock freezes up the phone occasionally in one part of the screen. Like say the screen is locked and I slide the keyboard up, half of my screen will be in the wrong orientation and I'll have to close that app and re-open it to get it going

3) Jbed has frozen the device twice now using Opera Mini - this is with the JRebeiro Jbed that was released in January or whatever and has worked on all the other ROMs I've tried it on without issue

I will keep testing tonight but right now, it looks like I might be flashing back to pre7 or 5069k for stability.
