When your in the FTP scroll towards the top and you will see 2.2 pre8. Thats the most current. You are on the first one.

Re: nueROM 2.2 Bleeding Edge Report Thread

Here are my issues:

1) The device lock came up on my first boot and crash the first boot agent. I ran the device anyway and it was laggy and non-responsive, would miss keys on texting, etc.

So I hard reset it today.

Now here are the issues I've found:

1) Skyfire is COMPLETELY unusable on this ROM. I hadn't tried Skyfire since any of the preview builds (it worked awesome on 5069k) but it works atrociously in this ROM.

2) The screen lock freezes up the phone occasionally in one part of the screen. Like say the screen is locked and I slide the keyboard up, half of my screen will be in the wrong orientation and I'll have to close that app and re-open it to get it going

3) Jbed has frozen the device twice now using Opera Mini - this is with the JRebeiro Jbed that was released in January or whatever and has worked on all the other ROMs I've tried it on without issue

I will keep testing tonight but right now, it looks like I might be flashing back to pre7 or 5069k for stability.

Re: nueROM 2.2 Bleeding Edge Report Thread

Reason you are running: no2chem 2.2 pre8
Applications you have installed: TomTom7, HTC Home 2.1, HTC Taskman 2.1, WeatherPanel, Newsgator Go, Arcsoft MMS
Carrier: Verizon

Describe concisely, the issue you are experiencing:
I cannot change the button action assignments. An error notifying that "Each program must have a unique button assignment. Please select a different button assignment"

Describe, step by step how to reproduce this issue:
1. Open Settings Dialog
2. Select a button to assign a program
3. Change to new program
4. Hit OK

Describe what you expected to happen:
The device should have allowed me to set the button to the S2U2 application.

NOTE: There appear to be 2 phantom "Button" items in the list assigned to "<context menu>" which I did not put there. I have attached 2 screen shots to show config, and Error Message

Could just be the windows ce build is now hard coded that way. Anyway it sucks having it that way and would be nice to have it back to delete. Also the email reply all instead of reply the other issue. Hopefully there is some way to change the mapping of the soft keys.

Using pre8

Windows Media Player only plays about 30 seconds of a song (sometimes less, never more), then skips to the next one. I have seen this in the past on other ROMs, never fonud a fix

Re: nueROM 2.2 Bleeding Edge Report Thread

polargoat - you must not have run Skyfire on a version before pre8...

I can tell you that Skyfire is running about 75-125% slower on pre8 than it did on 5069k or the "official" Sprint updated ROM.

I'm not the only one to confirm this, go look in the other thread... general discussion.

Re: nueROM 2.2 Bleeding Edge Report Thread

I wonder if it would be a good idea if everyone hit the "thanks" button on each bug/issue that they have witnessed themselves? Then maybe it would be easier to see which are global and therefore more likely to be rom based, and which might be app specific on one persons install. And the powers that be could tackle them in order of rank. Just a thought.
