Edit: I just double checked and I did use the copy command instead of the move command so yes, there are now two of each file in two different locations. It did leave me with only 85MB of storage space so I think I can live with that. It can still improve program compatibility because it is exactly where the cab file would install it to. For example. AstoGPS Launcher is a very good program for priming the GPS for YahooGo, If I created a shortcut to first start AstroGPS then launch YahooGo then the programs would need to be in the same locations for anyone else to use the same shortcut. I could write a shortcut for finding YahooGo in the windows folder but what if someone has installed YahooGo from a cab or even downloaded the app from the internet and installed it on their PPC, That shortcut would not work. If you adopt the standard naming convention and file structure that the original uses than there is no longer an issue.

Don't look at the Opera Browser initflashfiles.txt file then...Attachment 11930
You cannot move ROM files out of /Windows. All initflashfiles does is copy to another directory. There is not a "Move" command with initflashfiles. Now, yes you are copying the files to the locations that they exist in when you install from a cab and it will work all fine and dandy there. However, you now have two copies of each file on your device taking up space. If you can get it to run from /windows you only have one copy. Thus the reason to try to run as many apps as possible from the original ROM location of /Windows. Otherwise it is easier to just install from a cab.
