Re: Linux/Android working on Titan

Im loving this new version... All we are mising is gps, camera, bluetooth, wifi, Android Marketplace, and the onscreen keyboard.. Not bad.. screen works good, keyboard works, sd card, sound, screen rotates with keyboard slide.. I only have one problem when I soft reset out Android my phone goes to bootloader mode and I have to soft reset like a dozen times to get windows back up.

Re: Linux/Android working on Titan

Is it worth the effort of making the 6800 support the android? Don't get me wrong, I do think the idea of android on 6800 is a wonderful idea. But by the time we get a stable solid version of Android with all the features, is it possible we will all have upgraded that either A) are android phones or B) newer hardware that is already compatible to the androids on the market?

Blasphemer! Burn him!

Hardware's never been the problem with the 6800; it's always been the crappy/incomplete software support. Android is our one chance to finally get our money out of these bricks...

Even in android, we'll have the same lack of hardware acceleration...

WM is still better I have jd's rom(discontinued) with touchflo2D and its great.. Im pretty sure with nuerom and touchflo2D you wont need a new phone... But what we need to get organized is the Android Apps

That's not true.

Run the Earth app... Its hardware accelerated.

Android was developed for the MSM7201A, which has the same graphics acceleration that the MSM7500 and 7200 do.

This I did not know. That's very promising, actually. Except that Android runs like **** on the mogul. There's no way someone can reverse engineer the Android acceleration to write the appropriate driver for Windows Mobile? The Android SDK has been released, no?

Is that sarcasm? GPS, Camera, Bluetooth, Wifi, Keyboard... seems like a lot missing to me
