Re: WM5 + GPS Working + Bluetooth

its not perfect by any means but it certainly works quite well overall.

GPS works. I used TeleNav to get around all the construction going on everywhere... also using Opera 9.5 build 1780 on it to type this right now and its a much smoother experience than using it on WM6 or 6.1

The Skyfire performance is what has me *really* impressed though. I watched a YouTube video fullscreen and it had very very little frameskip compared to the 6.0 and 6.1 ROMs...

I dont know if I will keep it yet or not because I miss my threaded SMS and the shinier interface but its definitely worth a try.

I do not think you are losing anything. I switched from the cutting edge No2chem roms due to all the problems, and have been happy. My one short switch to the Kaos 6.1 Rom made me go right back to WM5 and I am still happy.
You may want to remove that link.....the Mods have warned about Codyppc before......

Re: WM5 + GPS Working + Bluetooth

Is there a tutorial posted on how to use your own template? I like this rom a lot, but I also really liked the kitchen's newer 20270 build features.

Re: WM5 + GPS Working + Bluetooth

I just updated the WM5 Rom image. A little history. I used to own an Apache 6700 phone and I used Helmi's WM5. It was really great so I decided to try using the OS from Helmi's last edition of the WM5 rom for the Apache as the basis for building a rom for the Titan. Well, it seems that Helmi is really a master at rom building because after getting it ported over I am amazed by the quality of the OS. Anyway, I thought others might be interested too so I built a rom which I have uploaded and I added the necessary files to use the PPCKitchen. Take a look at the first post for the links and other useful notes.

Enjoy...

As you requested, there is now a clean rom... Just rename it from Clean-RUU_signed.nbh to RUU_signed.nbh and use the burning tools found in the PPCKitchen.

Enjoy...
