You shouldn't have any problems but you should upgrade your radio because the newer radios are much better with bluetooth and gps.

Re: WM5 + GPS Working + Bluetooth

Awesome setup man. I was about to throw my mogul through a wall with these memory issues. Suffice to say it has survived. I built up my own kitchen, however today i discovered I didn't have bluetooth drivers. I feel embarrased to say i have no clue how to get this part put into my own custom kitchen. Any help is appreciated. I've done flashing, however I'm novice/intermediate. I'm also a PC tech so computer lingo isnt completely over my head lol.

Just download the file Bluetooth Module.rar from the most recent directory and uncompress it. Then move the Bluetooth Module (folder) to the USER_OEM folder. Then run up the PPCKitchen and make sure you check the box for the bluetooth module. Build and install... Bluetooth should be up and running.

Enjoy

Re: WM5 + GPS Working + Bluetooth

How much program memory is free when running this ROM?

How about free program memory when using the "clean" ROM?

I'm seriously thinking about going to this ROM but I'm wondering exactly what I will get.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Re: WM5 + GPS Working + Bluetooth

well, my curiosity has peaked and since I see you've posted a "clean" rom I may have to jump aboard.. the big thing for me with wm5 is the cpu priorities (commonly refered to as memory management.)
the main reason I'm going to try this rom is because I want to see what difference it will make with Wifi. specifically performace with navizon (or wardriving in general)

anyway it's late and I'd better wait till morning to do any flashing....

Re: WM5 + GPS Working + Bluetooth

Help!

Following the instructions in the first post in this thread, I uninstalled kitchen 20270 and deleted anything it left behind, and then installed the specified kitchen. Apparently, I wasn't supposed to delete what it left behind.

Kitchen Errors

Also, I have radio 3.42.50 and have run nueSPL 2.47 on my Titan which gave me the ability to flash via microSD. If I build a WM5 ROM, can I flash it via SD w/ my current radio ROM & bootloader, or must I revert to exactly what the first post specifies?

Thanks!

You also need the following files from the kitchen... I never delete any of the kitchen files so it didn't occure to me to specifiy that these are necessary....

Drivers_Titan.rar:
Carriers_Titan.rar:
PPCGeeks_OEM.rar:

I was using radio 3.42.50 but it seemed like the reception was worse than radio 3.42..02 so I moved back ... I believe (but I haven't tested) that all of the 3.xx radios will work. Also, I have only used OLIO 2.40 because I have it working and I am afraid to change it because modifying the bootloader is the one thing that can brick a phone ... so it is working and I'm not going to mess with it again! Therefore, I don't know if it will work with OLIO 2.47... but, it probably will...

Program Memory on first boot was around 25-26 megs with nothing installed. With the boatload of programs I run, I get around 19 megs after a complete installation of all apps. Memory management of WM5 seems better than all but the most cutting edge No2chem WM6.1 rom. My reason for dropping back to WM5 was a stable OS without needing to wait for No2chem to iron out the bugs in his current prerelease.

I do think that this will keep me happy till I make the mistake of buying a Diamond ! LOL
