EVDO REV A and new 3.56 ROM

So----all that 000000 does is let him view......

I posted GetSPC for him---from our forum----wouldn't that work----or is it only for Sprint

I will give this a shot. I am with Sprint, and I actully have a Touch phone. If I understand you correctly, I need the MSL to enter as the unlock code, if I want to edit after entering ##778#.

You will need the phone's Hexidecimal ESN as well

You can get that at ##778# >>>>>> View

You enter that Hex ESN in SPL's top box---then click OK----it finds your phones MSL and displays it in the 2nd Box----write it down---you need that to actually unclock the phone to edit it.....

Not sure if you guys care since this is a Titan thread. Anyway, I tried this on my Touch (Vogue) per the listed instructions, and I noticed a slight diferrence (faster) when I select Enable. Enalbled I averaged 556Kb/sec and Disabled I averaged 349Kb/sec. Latency was improved as well when enabled (.293 compared to .481 when disabled).

When you use the Hex ESN it must be typed exactly as it is on your box that phone came in.

Verizon phones have there msl code set to 000000. Sprint, and some other cariers, have there code based off of your HEX ESN. Getspc (posted above) will retrive your msl for you if you're on Sprint.

Well----I have played with this all afternoon

And my readings were jumping all over the place....

Probably doesn't help that my home is not the best place to measure this...(my signal strenght varies from 0 bars to 2 bars max)

But generally.......

When the setting showed "Enable"

My download speeds were faster and my latencies lower.....

Can someone else test this and confirm?

This would be a difference from the 3.35 ROM where after you flashed----the setting showed "Disable" at default----and you left it there.....

This time----after I flashed to the new 3.56 ROM----the Default was "Enable"

I'll try again from a location that I can get 4 bars from.....

Sorry guys I was away for church. When I use the 000000 it gives me 3 option. View Edit Cancel. When I choose edit>view info>data parameters the only line showing is Pocket Data String. There is no option for reva a or EVDO
