Verizon MMS

Hello all. I have had dificulty with my VZW MMS. I found the registry settings below posted in nexvisions thread. My question is do I need to alter my registry to look like that one. I posted a picture of my registry setting below. Mine looks completely diffferent. What can I do?

Verizon MMS REG Settings

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\WspHeader]
"X-VzW-MDN"="myphonenumber" (string! not DWORD)
"User-Agent"="utstar67kv1"
"Accept"="application/vnd.wap.multipart.related"

Re: Verizon MMS

Re: Verizon MMS

create a new key for those you don't have, change the ones listed and leave anything that is not addressed alone; worked for me.

Re: Verizon MMS

Here is a cab that does all the necesary reg edits for you and installs the neccesary arcsoft mms program as well, I've been using this and works perfectly for me.

File Type: zip GC Arcsoft MMS 5.0.31.25.zip (1.51 MB, 220 views) Click for barcode!

Re: Verizon MMS

So do I need to build a ROM with no MMS checked, then install this or can I just install it over the current MMS that is built into my ROM?

Re: Verizon MMS

I can't completely answer that, as when I cooked my ROM I didn't include any MMS. So I suppose the answer to your question is I don't know. lol sorry

EDIT: After a little more looking around, I don't think it matters if you chose to have MMS cooked into the ROM, this version is new from arcsoft and I imagine would uninstall and replace what's already installed.

Re: Verizon MMS

I'm not sure why it would be a rar file, it's a cab on my end. winrar SAYS it's a rar file, but it has a .cab extension.
