Im not talking about getting totally back to stock to take back to store, just wanting to know what i can flash with 2.47. Thanks.
you can have a stock rom on the non stock bootloader. its just if you want to bring your phone in for warrenty, thats when you would need to revert the bootloader back. and also remember once you have flashed a gps rom, DONT EVER FLASH TO A NON GPS ROM.

Re: Simple steps to flashing your own rom

Hi everyone. I've read over all the posts and I feel like I understand what's going on, but I'm still scared. Would anyone be so kind as to walk me through the process of updating my phone. I have a HTC Mogul 6800 and I'm currently running Windows Mobile 6. I'm trying to upgrade to 6.1.

I live in Brooklyn, so if anyone local doesn't mind spending a few minutes with me over the phone please message me. All I have to give is my gratitude, hopefully that will be enough

well I am at work so I cant really do it over the phone, but if you post your questions here, i will get back as soon as I can. but sprints latest stock rom just came out yesterday. if you go to htc's website you can download that rom which has windows 6.1 and the latest radio, from there its just loading nuespl and flashing your rom. I am assuming you are on sprint since you said you have the mogul.

I just realised part of what I said might gget your confused, the latest official rom shoudl have windows 6.1 stock now, but if you flash a custom rom, you have to make sure it is 6.1 although 99.999999999% of the roms out there are windows 6.1 nowadays

Re: Simple steps to flashing your own rom

I'm still having issues. My PRI file/settings keep getting updated.
I know this is suppose to be because I've let the Sprint customizations run.
If they are getting run, I don't know where or how.
I have never let any sprint rom go past the 'tap to setup' screen.
This last pass I did not even use a Sprint ROM. I flashed the 3.42.30 radio and then dcd 3.22 upon reboot ran the dcd verizon carrier cab. Looked at the PRI and it had changed to 2.03_003.

So, I have no clue as to what I am doing wrong.

Re: Simple steps to flashing your own rom

No, it shows stock radio and code 1.30.60 & 2.09.605.8. The PRI goes back to 1.35_002. I'm in the process of going back to stock again right now.

Re: Simple steps to flashing your own rom

when you try flashing it, this next time, as soon as you see the HTC screen pull the battery, and then flash it again with the other rom

Re: Simple steps to flashing your own rom

The only way flashing is working right now is usb - I'm still having trouble flashing from SD card - even though 2.47 install says it's formatted correctly.
So If I pull the battery, how am I going to flash?
