Re: Simple steps to flashing your own rom
wierd, maybe you have a bad card, you said it got corrupted before. can you try formating it again, that nuespl cab file gives you an option to just format it.

Re: Simple steps to flashing your own rom
It's an intermediate bootloader. If you flash it, you'll be sorry.

Re: Simple steps to flashing your own rom
Hi,
Great writing,m really appreciate it, havnent seen a form which is so clear, thansk for the effort. i have a question. I own a I-mate jam before (now tytnII) i would like to know can i use this sprint ROM to update my jam (it runs WM 2003) and most importantly i am in middle east, will it work if i insert a simcard of this region? coz it is named sprint rom, i thought may be it will work only with sprint coverage. |

Re: Simple steps to flashing your own rom
Hey I definitely commend you on the effort, but there are already 2 guides like this stickied in this forum, such as:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=9927 ^which personally, I find to be a bit simpler and easier to read. Mainly due to the added numbering and additional links. However, if you were able to write up a bigger guide, that would include how to use the ppcgeeks kitchen to make your own custom rom, specifically, how to add in applications not included in any kitchen into a custom rom. That would help me out a ton ;P Oh and you'd get a donation from me if you could explain in detail, how to not only add apps not included in the kitchen, but also how I can add those apps to my custom rom, including how to load the serial / registration keys for my apps into a custom rom. That would be amazing |

As far as SIM card usage goes, yes, if you get a SIM card for your region your tytnII will work. The 6800 (Titan) is a CDMA phone, does not use SIM cards, and you likely can not find a CDMA base carrier where you are (GSM is the standard on that side of the world) |
