Well if it is warez why is it in the PPCkitchen? Attention cozboogie ask me why?
flysers2114 you will be banned next for pm warez information.....by cozboogie

Colonel take it out or you will get banned, or is the PPCkitchen safe to have the different versions of voice command????.... How weak to get banned when the PPCkitchen has the same files in it that where posted in here.... Or is it that cozboogie does not know that all the MSVC files are oem'd in the PPCkitchen

Why not come under your own name and ask the same questions........

flyers2114 why don't you get a grip. I tried sending emails to Mike and two a couple of mods without any reply reguarding the issue. I would have posted in here with my name but my other handle is banned for a month. Second why are you such a jerk? I never have done anything rude to you. Third scared, not for a second. Lastly why is MSVC in the PPCkitchen if it is considered warez? I thought PPCkitchen was a part of PPCgeeks so its kind of a double standard to have warez in the kitchen. I also had no idea that MSVC in the kitchen was considered warez as I would have never of posted an oem from the kitchen here on PPCgeeks. So please flyers2114 don't go flaiming off. All I ever tried to do was help people in the community here.

Thanks

I am not trying to be a jerk....I just thought it was odd that you came with a new screen name.....if I would have known you were banned I would never have commented the way I did.....I just kinda thought you were singling me out by adding me to the post....no harm no foul....I don't think your questions are wrong and I wouldn't mind an answer also, as it is a bit of a double standard....I just had a problem because I thought you were hiding behind a new screen name....I have no problem with you and I consider this no harm no foul....thanks...ready to move on:mrgreen:

Thanks for the follow up flyers, I appreciate it. I pmed colonel regarding the matter. To be safe I just would not post any OEM's from the PPCkitchen in the threads on PPCgeeks until this gets cleared up. I also noticed PiePlus has a hacked DLL in the kitchen as well. So it looks like the kitchen needs to be cleaned up.

OK...good to see that folks are checking out this thread again!! So, let me bump my question...

When I open the Voice Comand settings, it says the version is 1.60.4622.0, which does doesn't quite match the version number formats that have been mentioned in previous posts. Is this version new enough to work with WM6.1? I bought mine from Handango back in April. If not, can one download a "legal" update? I didn't seem to find one on Microsoft's website.

Thanks!

Hmmm, someone said a long time ago that there was somethign in PIEPlus but I thought it was addressed. Please PM me what it is you are seeing so I can fix it. Thanks

On the MSVC thing, I will get with the mods and discuss this. We do not encourage the use of warez. However, VC is a different issue because there are not current updates available to people that have paid for the application. Last I checked, the commercially available product did not function correctly. There is also the gray area regarding where these apps are found. There are several posts on the boards with Opera and other apps that are found in roms.

Below is the response I got from Handango. Doesn't look good...:???:

Quote:

The latest version of voice command version 1.6 was released in 11/15/2006. We have not received a newer version since that time.

Although Handango sells this product on our site, Microsoft provides the detailed technical support. Please see information on contacting them below.
[blah, blah, blah..]

I think it goes back to licensing issues, where one device includes this application, while another device does NOT include said application... The kitchen, being complete for multiple devices, would include the licensed version for one device, but still allow it to be build into a ROM for another device. This is where i think the grey area is, and personally have no problem taking an application from one device and using it on another...

whatever is considered Warez in this forum, may not be in Kitchen (diff rulez may apply)
