Before I get flamed, this probably isn't the best place to post this question but I thought this would be better than starting a new thread...

I was wondering , with the new modifications to the kitchen builder file layout, if it would be possible to put together a wm5 kitchen which uses all of the the latest drivers to include GPS. It would be nice to have 30MB free memory instead of 20MB...

You could try. I doubt the latest drivers will play happily with a WM5 core.

gguru, you guys are doing some great work, thanks and keep it up. FWIW last time i downloaded files from the updater it errored out at the very end, and i ended up having to manually download the rars, but all is good... success was mine !!!

heh, it was 2AM and very well could have been an issue on my end

Has anyone tested WLS with this kitchen? When I press the microphone button in WLS to speak to it I get an error that indicates it cannot open the shortcut or locate the target filename for VC 1.6. Has anyone gotten this error and how do you resolve it? I am loading VC 1.6 from the kitchen also.

How do you get it to stop trying to place words in while typing text messages. I am not talking about word suggestion, I am talking about when you are typing and it seems to stop and suggest a word and then places it in as soon as you hit space. This is quite annoying when using the hardware keyboard, not sure if it happens with the soft keyboard. Is there some registry entry to stop it from doing this?

well i went back to cook up another r0m for the titan and i was told my ppckitchen expired !!!
ran updater to update the BuildOS Files (not 2AM this time) and it worked this time.
now i'm able to use the kitchen again, and the updater, without errors.

File/Settings/Personal(Input) - Word Completion (Uncheck Suggest Words)

I already did that, I am not talking about the little box of words that pops up, I am talking about the auto filling that occurs. For example in the text message while you are typing you will see a gray word that if you were to hit space it would fill it in. Of course you will hit space since you want to advance to the next word in your sentence so there is no way around bypassing it unless you hit backspace while typing and then finish the word. That gets to be very annoying when it starts to automatically try to fill in words after every word you type (which will happen if you text enough time and it starts remembering).

i believe this is the Diamond qwerty sip doing this. there is an option to turn it off.
