Upgrading Roms

I have regular stock rom on my phone (Verizon 6800) now, but I'm thinking about upgrading to another rom. Is it safe and use to upgrade? If anything goes wrong, can I go back to the regular stock rom? Thanks for the help...What is the best Rom available?

Yes, it's perfectly safe to upgrade, provided you follow directions clearly and pay good attention... do you share of reading first, so you know what to expect.
and yes, you can easily revert back to 'stock' if you ever need to ..
here are a couple threads to get you started.

Re: Upgrading Roms

I did it without an issue. Of course I have been flashing my 6700 for quite some time before I got this phone. Just read, read and read some more. Follow instructions closely and you will probably have to call for an A key when yu upgrade ur radio.
