Re: Help! I want to Flash Back to an Official ROM
Theres no real "fool-proof" method for not bricking, and usualy with flashing a phone, the worst thing that can happen is that your os partion gets messd up and then you will have to re-flash from bootloader.

Don't you have to relock the ROM or something...? I could have sworn there was something extra you have to do.

Re: Help! I want to Flash Back to an Official ROM
Just to be on the safe side...try the following steps: Assuming you have a non-GPS enabled ROM currently
1. Relock your phone 2. Flash a stock ROM (ie Sprint 2.17 full) DO NOT flash a newer GPS enabled ROM at this point...youcould but just take it step by step to prevent bricking. 3. Flash newest stock ROM (ie Sprint 3.35 full) If you currently have a non-stock GPS enabled ROM, the you should be able to flash stock ROM without any relocking. Just flash to the latest stock ROM. That should prevent any type of bricking. But worst case, youwill mess something up and end up at the bootloader screen. That's no problem...its almost close to impossible to totally brick your phone. Good luck and ask more question, if you're still confused. Last edited by rvashi; 05-23-2008 at 12:14 PM. Re: Help! I want to Flash Back to an Official ROM
You need to go back to the original boot loader first. Flashing original rom with 2.40 will fail.

Re: Help! I want to Flash Back to an Official ROM
Um, no. 3.16 required the original bootloader because 1.20 was not compatible with the GPS ROMs. 3.35 flashed just fine with the 2.40 bootloader. I've done it on THREE different Moguls without trouble.

Re: Help! I want to Flash Back to an Official ROM
So let's say I have the updated 3.35 rom updated...then I flashed to a custom Kitchen Rom...and now I want to go back to the 3.35 stock rom...Should I relock and then just run the official 3.35 sprint rom?
