that reg change turns off notifications also though. not sure there's any way around it yet.

Remove the quotes. SMSInboxThreadingDisabled works. I've done on every 6.1 ROM without a problem.

ya it was something else locked me up here...and this registry entry does work for shutting off threaded texting but still having notifications work. nice.

Thanks, PPC_N00B - That lead me to the right solution! I had to delete the HKLM\Comm\InternetSharing\Extension\isext.dll key in my Verizon setup.
