Another problem: I installed the "iBliss" phone pad, and it is acting really goofy now. SmartDial doesn't appear anymore, but my Phone Contact list appears in the middle of the keypad, with no way to make it go away.

If I knew this might be a one-way street, I would never have flashed this ROM until it had a little more road-testing ...

Sigh.

It won't boot because you're flashing between no2 and non-no2chem roms.. pop the battery out if you get stuck and it will boot fine then next time.

I guess IBliss isn't working either. This base is really sucking so if you have too many problems, there's always 5060 while we wait on 5066.

How did you do the upgrade?

I first took the 3.49 ROM, which included the 3.39 radio, and flashed my 6800. Once that was done I then built a ROM from the 3.49 kitchen and flashed my device again. After that I have been a happy camper.

While I am not expert might I suggest the following:

1) Re-flash the Olipro 2.40 SPL
2) Flash the 6800 with the 3.49/3.39 ROM
3) Build a new ROM from the 3.49 kitchen and flash

You might have better luck getting things to operate. Which screen are you stuck at. Is it the VZW splash screen? If so I believe that means you dont have an OS on your device. Flash a ROM onto it and let it boot. You should be ok. Again I am not an expert but that worked for me.

PM me if you would like to continue the discussion.

Steve

I flashed 3.49 Rom 3 times and I cannot get into Settings, the phone just locks. I will go back to 5060 and wait. This base is a little flakey. I have seen to many people with to many problems. Thanks for tryin to get something out for all of us!

Thanks! I will try pulling the battery out, to see if I can make it back to 5060 for now. I'll be trying 3.49 again in the near future, though!

Thanks again for all the hard work, tiermann! I know that putting together a base is a lot of work, and most people don't realize what you go through.

I'm sorry if I sounded a little frustrated, but I typed my previous message just a few minutes after it looked like I was stuck. I'm feeling much better now ...

UPDATE: Pulling the battery out & hard resetting did the trick! I have a phone again (at 5060 for now ...)

Thanks, Steve - I'll PM you if I can't get back to 3.35 using tiermann's suggestions. I didn't upgrade my radio to 3.39, so maybe that was the problem. Is there any advantage to Radio 3.39?

The 3.49 kitchen with the 3.39 ROM is significantly quicker than the 5060 kitchen. The 3.39 radio seems to give me quicker GPS locks, but I am only speculating there.

Re: Titan 3.49 Kitchen

Thanks to all for making this kitchen!
This new build works great!
I can confirm that MSVC works with confirmation over BT.

The only thing I am having problems with is:
I chose "Skinny signal bars" and the data arrows are always on.
Is there a reg key that can be changed?

Those who built roms w/ out "Skinny signal bars"
Do your data arrows work properly

THANKS!

I deleted the Skinny reg key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\PhoneExtendFunction \CDMA\
SignalStrengthLevel=dword:00000007
Still the data arrows are always on.

Is there something else to check/change?
