Re: Emergency Xv6800 flashed to 3.39 radio
That's what i was saying the PRL update did not work for me... Only reactivating it with alltel worked... Trust me I did about 15 PRL updates yesterday... and a ton of ROM flashes. Here are exact symptoms of the problem I had:
First I used ppckitchen to make a rom, after it was flashed my phone consistently thought it was roaming. I then flashed back to alltel's newest rom for the phone. This did not fix the problem. I then did a bunch of PRL updates and kept flashing it and hard resetting it, none of these fixed the problem. I set the phone to home only, it stopped roaming but the only thing that worked was the data plan no phone or text messaging. I then reactivated the phone with alltel, just like I did when I bought the phone. The phone received the programming rebooted and started working fine. |

ok I have gotten it to work. I had to flash a officail rom then run it to make it work. Then the phone shows no connection and says no service. But the PRI does not revert back...what should I be doing next to make this work?

Re: Emergency Xv6800 flashed to 3.39 radio
I got it to work! I had installed a series of downgrades/upgrades to unlock my Touch's GPS (I'm with Verizon), but then my phone showed the roaming triangle at all times as well as the "Preferred System" text under the time.
After reading this thread, I set my PRL to the newest Verizon one by downloading the latest Nationwide PRL zip at the bottom of the first post and copying the files inside to my SD card, going to Start -> System Tools -> Phone Codes -> PRL -> (Menu) Edit -> choose PRL file. Curiously, the PRL field was empty before I set it. Anyway, after the reset, my phone picked up the VZW network and doesn't think that I'm roaming anymore. Yay! |
