Re: New "Official" Sprint ROM (3.49, radio 3.39.10)

to me, compelling reasons are: (in no particular order) 1. adding major functionality (ie. GPS and Rev-a) 2. Fixes to crashing or non-functional programs 3. Major program or ROM upgrades (like a new no2chem base..) Often reflashing to the "latest and greatest" takes some time and repeated flashing to get it just the way you want. From 3.35 to 3.39 I don't see that much of a difference in the GPS. The new ROM does seem a bit snappier but that might be a function of No2Chem 5067 (vs 5060) and not the radio. |

Re: New "Official" Sprint ROM (3.49, radio 3.39.10)
I had major issues with the rom. I could only connect to 1x with the new radio. I reflashed and changed settings more than I could imagine.
I did many changes and unfortunately I took 8 hours to figure that it was the rom which caused this. Backed the radio up and evdo instantly. |

Re: New "Official" Sprint ROM (3.49, radio 3.39.10)
Is it a good Idea to flash with Official Sprint ROM(3.49 radio 3.39.10 then with a Custom rom for Verizon xv6800 just to get the radio upgraded to 3.39.10. Currently have 3.35

Re: New "Official" Sprint ROM (3.49, radio 3.39.10)
Anyone notice an EVDO speed decrease after upgrading to radio 3.39? I'm getting an average of 700kbit/s instead of my original 1200-1600kbit/s. Tested on dslreports.com/mspeed.
I don't know if it's just a network issue in my area, my cache settings, or the new radio. |
