Re: DCD 3.0.1 Kitchen for new BuildOS.
The main issue is going to be the said stuff left in OEM. BuildOS and its OEMs were designed to function with rom bases. Not so much with bases with stuff still in them. Idealy, SYS should be the OS with some items optional as long as they dont cause any problems when they are left out. OEM should basically be the drivers and other device specific files. Thats it. Everything else should be optional and seperate. This will make your efforts a little easier I believe.

What I mean more are the files that are only for the titan in this case. This would include the drivers and other files that the titan requires. If you look at 5060 you can see how it is broken down. Its not necessary to go this far in depth like no2chem did with creating all the different packages, but it is helpful to see what is still there and what was removed. |

Re: DCD 3.0.1 Kitchen for new BuildOS.
I am going to give this a shot in a few minutes. I just wanted to drop some love on ya for the work and support you're giving toward this. You and everyone else involved. I love all the ins-and-outs this community is teaching me about my device and I thank you all for the education.
i look forward to RTFM @ msdn and beyond to take it to the next level. i guess i should start a new thread about this next question but i'll toss it out there anyway. anyone aware of unix-ish apps ported to ce5.2/wm6+? the million dollar piece would be having a working perl distro, as i like dirty little scripting and know perl better than i know my parents. feel free not to answer here if being off topic pisses you off, i'll make a thread. don't hate me ![]() |
