I haven't tried the kitchen but I do read(A lot), and I remember seeing posts about Windows media player, if you don't include it your ringtones won't work.

I cam across a quick fix by mistake, I didn't include the actual .exe in my test build and all sounds work. In theory one could just delete the .exe and all the bmps and other photos and leave the encoding files and your sounds should work.

Yes, there are ways to do it. However, it then requires someone to start picking out files. For simplicity sake, it is just easier to require it. Since rom size is not an issue any more, I really don't know why it is an issue. I guess I don't understand why people absolutely want it removed. As with anything built into a rom, you can very easily delete the .lnk (shortcuts) in \Start Menu\Programs and possibly \Startup depending on the app. This will have the same effect as pulling the .exe from an OEM.

Ok this is my fourth attempt at creating a ROM for my Mogul with this new Kitchen and for some reason I can't get it to work. Here is my problem; I have an OEM that I created that worked with the previous DCD kitchen that I was using. I have it setup so that the files should be moved to folders such as \HTCHome or \Program Files\OnLock here is what the initflashfiles.txt says

I have attached the buildOS log for someone to look over.

So my issue is that these files in the ROM aren't being placed into the right folder. They are just being dumped into the \Windows folder. The links then aren't working. Not only is this happening with my OEM files but i've also noticed that the files for ICS aren't being put in the right place either? Any help would really be appreciated.

So you're saying you have no \HTCHome folder in your ROM? Or is it empty?

I have the folder, but all of the files that should be in that folder aren't. The files are all thrown in the \Windows directory. Also I thought it was just my OEM but it appears that all the options from the Kitchen (i.e. NueAudio, ICS, Games, etc) are all placed in \Windows so the shortcuts to all of these programs don't work.

hey guys, i cant get ftouchflo config to run, either from settings or in the windows directory, and tautoinstall wont run either, they both give me the error that either a componant is missing or its not signed. it worked with the 5060 base before the 4/11 update.

Works fine in Vista. You'll need to run as admin.

Which error are you getting? Is it during flashing the ROM to your device, building the ROM, or installing PPCKitchen?
