Actually, I did do that. That's what I meant by "start from scratch".

Unfortunately it did take me a couple tries to get it working even with that. Not that it was unexpected... I do like to customize and test things out. The only reason I actually posted a question here was because I didn't understand why everything except the storage card was working. I was just curious as to what package would cause that. I think that question was throughly answered. I then just updated my progress for completeness.

I believe the last thing I did that got it working was I removed the skip welcome hack and added back Welcome. I thought of that since it was freezing on coldinit at first boot. I didn't realize that there are some needed files in there. It's actually best for it run anyhow; I was just testing. Still doesn't explain the last BuildOS error message, but it is beta after all...
