I had the same thing happen to me. My phone just sat on the second screen during bootup. I had to go back to DCD's too.

The wierd thing is that the boot screens from the ppckitchen stayed on my phone after putting dcd's back. Do I need to do a hard reset or what to get them off?

Awesome job though! Can't wait to use this!

This sounds to me like a local proxy server is requesting your credentials in order to allow you to get out. In other words, your local internet provider (physical location = employer or school ?) wants to know who you are, before they will let you connect.

That's my guess, anyway.

May I ask for a little-bit of hand-holding? ... Please?

The new kitchen from PPC Geeks (wonderful, by the way) includes a kitchen and a project file to point to the kitchen. Is this an accurate understanding?

\Projects\Titan_No2Chem_5054_WM6.1 Selections.txt (points to)
\Kitchens\Titan_No2Chem_5054_WM6.1.rar

So, if this is correct, how would I go about using the new 5059 as a base to similarly build a custom ROM with the new kitchen?

Download *.msi file from ppckitchen.org
Allow it to run updates ... (as of right now, this gets me 5054 Kitchen)

then download 5059 and do what with it?

Best regards,
-boggsie

That's what I was guessing.. Too bad you can't set which proxy to use on this program... guess i'll have to wait to try it out

If you can get out to the internet, BuildOS should work. There are two stages in the connection, a standard html request, and, if that fails, an OLE db connection. The OLE db connection will always fail (because you don't and won't ever have the right credentials), but will generate the proxy error. Please post your error, preferably a screen shot, so I can see about resolving this issue.

Currently, the OLEdb connection request happens first and the html request second...this is reversed in the next build.

More or less correct. You put the 5059.rar in kitchens, copy the 5054 selections.txt to 5059 selections.txt, edit 5059 selections.txt to refer to 5059.rar (it's obvious). Run buildos.

Future builds of BuildOS will provide a selections.txt for you as part of the kitchen .rar (if the kitchen .rar was assembled properly, it should have a selections.txt in it already).

Alternatively, most kitchens should be available via the Updater once they are determined "safe" for general use.

The instructions telling you to remove your battery after flashing No2Chem 5050+ for the first time were inadvertently left out of the download. Flash No2Chem, remove you battery for 10 seconds, reassemble and life should be good.

Don't need them. They are a relic from before the http connection existed. They were left in while the html code gets some maturity. Next build has them removed.

Re: Titan Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19199 (Build 19199.1.0.0)

Wow, wow, wow. Fantastic work as always guys.

Just two questions:

Is there no need for a "Patches" folder like before. I have an OEM for E-ten dialer and I used to have to put a couple image files in there to overwrite the default dialer.

This is just being picky, but can you please change the default font on the selection screen? That light blue/aqua against the WM6 green is hard to read in places. Especially when it's in front of the Windows logo.

Thank you all!
