Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio

Alright guys, I need help. This is what I get for not paying attention I guess. I had a mogul that was on Sprints OEM 3.35 rom. I was trying to downgrade to a lower version rom so I unlocked it using the 1.20 unlocker and flashed it using a 2.17 custom rom. Not a good idea!!!! When I turned it on, it would get stuck at the HTC splash screen before even displaying the red letters with radio version and all. I put the phone in bootloader (1.20.Olipro) and tried flashing the OEM 2.17 rom. Now the phone says "No radio" and gets stuck at the Windows Mobile screen. I dont have a card reader so I cant try using the nbh file using the storage card, Is there any other way to flash a radio on the phone or am I going to have to make the investment and buy one?? Ive tried relocking the phone but cant get activesync to connect to my phone since its stuck at the Windows screen. Ive tried reflashing the 2.17 rom a few times and it always flashes successfully but just no radio. What next guys?

At this stage your not bricked yet, you still have bootloader.
from what you describe, you have 1.20 Olipro

are you running Vista or XP?
whichever, reboot your computer, then put your phone into bootloader
then try to flash 2.17 - link below:

Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio

Thanks for the reply. Im running XP SP2. Im about to try what your suggesting and Ill post the results here in a few.

Edit: No luck man. It flashes fine but it still says no radio and freezes at the Windows Mobile screen. Ive been searching for answers for hours and I read that the 3.35 radio can not be overwritten by any other radio. Ive tried flashing the 1.40 radio already and it flashed just fine just like the roms are but when it boots back up it still says no radio. Im at wits end here and just about ready to give up. Only reason I dont is cuz its a brand spanking new phone. I tried flashing it straight out the box to replace the Mogul Im on now cuz Im not liking the 3.35 rom too much cuz of the lagging. I should of just left it alone. Any other suggestions???

Re: HTC Splash Screen says no radio

Things that have happened:
Followed the instructions for kitchen 5060. While updating from 2.17 to 2.40Olipro, everything was smooth. When RUU popped up, phone would no longer connect to Activesync. Proceeded to update ROM (no rom listed for “updating from”, but 3.35 was listing for “updating to”). Phone reset, went to OEM Splash with updated radio and bootlogger info shown. Built, saved, and wrote kitchen. Kitchen seems to write fine, mobile device is listed in “MY COMPUTER”, but when RUU comes back up for final flash, it doesn’t recognize the device at all. I have one thing to ask for anyone who can provide the remedy…HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLP!!!!! (might I add, I can still do hard and soft resets, but phone apparently has no OS).

Windows XP Pro 2.6GHz P4/2GB RAM
HTC 6800 (USCC)

If there is any other info you need from me, just post and I’ll respond asap. I've only had this phone 4 days, and would hate to have to already file an insurance claim.
