At what point do you flash with original radio? I have 3.39 now. I want to take it back to stock and return the phone to VZW for the 6900. Thanks

hmm I browsed through here and didn't see any mention of flashing stock vzw radio... does the ROM included in the first post include the radio as well?

thanks

Please sticky this thread. Perhaps this information was posted elsewhere, but my 45 min google quest brought me here first. I was running DCDs 3.1.2 WM 6.1 rom and the Sprint Mogul 3.3.9 radio update. Everything worked, but the phone was acquired to Sprint. I couldn't use *228 to activate, as my EPST settings all contained sprint data. Users in the XDA forums suggested running the dcd -Titan VZW cab. All that did was enable EPST via ##778 and a renamed Guava Berry theme.

oy vey.

This thread just lowered my blood pressure 50 points to normal.

Sounds like you let the sprint customizations run. If you reflash just hit the reset before the customizations run and then try the *228 then 2 and see if that works. I have flashed my VZW xv6800 several times now and haven't had to call for an A key yet, dialing *228 then 2 has worked everytime.

(Probably just jinxed myself) lol

You do not need a warranty replacement as this is a simple couple minute fix.

This is exactly my issue. I called verizon and they suggested sending me a refurb or going to a store to get the firmware reflashed by them. I didn't think a replacement was necessary. Can any of you others with this problem report on how the phone call went when asking for a DMU reset and if you had any problems?

thanks!

To set your phone back to the default Verizon ROM, do the following:
  1. Download all necessary files 1) Titan Re-locker 2) Stock Verizon ROM 3) ROM Update Utility
  2. Unzip/rar the Stock ROM and the RUU (unrar using WinRAR) ****DO NOT UNZIP THE RELOCKER**** (it is a self extracting zip and will run properly as is)
  3. Place the Ruu_signed.nbh file in the RUU folder
  4. Hard reset your phone by holding down both softkeys, hitting reset, and pressing R (just for good measure)
  5. Connect your phone to your PC and make sure ActiveSync is connected
  6. Re-lock your phone by running Titan_Relocker.exe
  7. Place the stock Verizon ROM in the RUU folder
  8. Run the RUU by running ROMUpdateUtility.exe
  9. For good measure, let the Verizon ROM complete its setup.
I'm doing this from memory so please let me know if I missed a step so that I can update this post.

I hope this is helpful.

**I haven't been here in over 24 hours, so forgive me if this has been posted.**

I already exchanged my phone but I was able to get it back to factory specs without bricking it. good to have these tools incase I run into a bind again. thanks for your help.
