delay in acquiring radio signal after hard reset

After I have installed the new ROM (I let customization go all the way through, and i didn't hard reset the second time around), I noticed that after a soft reset, it takes a lot longer afte rthe today screen load to acquire a radio signal for me to make a call, like maybe 4-5 minutes extra almost sometimes. My friend who just did the upgrade noticed the same thing.
While this is happening, there are three dots below the triangular icon on top that keeps scrolling while it is getting a signal.

Anybody else?

After it gets the signal, everything is fine.

When it boots, I get R 3.35.04 and D 3.35 on the splash screen, so i think it is radio 3.35.04?

Could it be acquiring a GPS signal, before the phone can work?

Edit: I did this and it worked for me: (Others claim, if you don't do anything over time it will "learn" to get signal faster.)

so there is a solution!

btw, this is the solution i used found on page 5 of that thread and it worked for me.

"Just resolved the issue, "##3282#, edit, msl, MENU, Restore, OK". After the soft reset do the OTA again and this should fix the corrupted data profile. If this doesnt fix the 1012 error or the long signal reception issue then call CS(technical support) and have them force the data profile update."

Re: delay in acquiring radio signal after hard reset

I changed the slot load time from 2 down to 0, and my radio started getting signals within 5 seconds on a soft reset. I then changed to slot load time to 1 and getting the signal still only took 5 seconds or so. It was driving me nuts!
