Unofficial 3.35.651.2 ROM Kitchen. Get cooking!
Hey everyone! Have fun! I have personally used this kitchen to make several custom roms and it works well. Uses the same awesome memory management as the stock Sprint ROM alone.
This is WM 6.0, NOT 6.1; and this is for SPRINT only!! I have not yet made the changes to allow multiple-carriers. I'm not recomending this for people who are not familiar with custom roms and the processes involved; you can and may damage your phone. This kitchen creates OS ROM only. You MUST flash the stock Sprint 3.35.651.2 ROM first and then flash the ROM made from the kitchen. Otherwise, you will not have the correct radio and other programming needed to run. ***ALSO, All OEMs that come on stock ROM are also included in the Kitchen. Do NOT add stock OEMs as I have not been able to remove them yet.*** Before using the kitchen, please make sure your phone is unlocked completely, and your phone shows 2.40 Olipro bootloader. Make sure you have your MDN and MSID handy just in case you need them [##(MSL CODE)#] Otherwise you may not be able to use your phone to make or receive calls. The rest you know: build, flash and have fun! This is a kitchen built off of the officially released 3.35 rom, I take no responsibility to what it or you may do to your phone!!!!! I will not be directly supporting this kitchen, however, please post any issues you may come across, and I will try to resolve. Thanks to dogguy for the kitchen tools and shared knowledge and Olipro for the unlocker. Re: ElectronicRice's Unofficial 3.35.651.2 ROM Kitchen
well the point of the kitchen is to be a solution to allow people to cook roms using the stock WM 6.0. ive noticed quite a few people don't like 6.1, and im not as advanced when it comes to ported XIPs like dcd and no2chem. ill leave that up to them! haha
but yeah this kitchen works very well for adding in OEMs to the stock 6.0 rom from sprint, and allows to change dialer and commmanagers. im working on adding different carrier options to choose too. |

Re: ElectronicRice's Unofficial 3.35.651.2 ROM Kitchen
Ok dude, major issues. Spent 2 hours on this so far and haven't been able to build a proper rom with it.
The first few times I tried building, I got errors from my esmertec java because the oem java wasn't split from the oem. Not a big deal, but after finding all the oems I had to disable to make buildOS run, I found that the dialer and comm manager are now DEAD. I pulled them in from another kitchen (llama, who in turn I think pulled them from dcd), and I end up with a dead comm manger and a dialer with messed up buttons that aren't in the right place. :/ When I try to make a call, I get "A problem has occured with filesys.exe Please tell Ms about the problem..." Going back to my beta kitchen for now. |

Re: ElectronicRice's Unofficial 3.35.651.2 ROM Kitchen
funny... so I went back to my 3.16 kitchen, and it appears that most of the changes were in the radio rom, cuz my device is faster and snappier than before this ordeal.
GPS fix is quick, internet seems to stay connected. Not sure why else I would really push for 3.35 anymore... still, it'd be nice to know this works. For now I'm ok. |
