Semi-noob question...What is the correct way to add anything to this before I create the ROM?

Are you looking to add your own OEM's? If so you should search around here there are some programs that will assist in creating them.

Uhh...that's where I'm a little unsure...I'm trying just to get certain apps in so they don't burn RAM by being installed later. Do I have to OEM for that, or should I just do it anyway?

Also, I'm getting the error where I can't install the radio alone, any suggestions on how to install with the least trouble? Thanks for the help.

I think you are a bit confused here. If its in the rom or installed later will not impact ram. Anything that is in the rom will be installed and configured already so you dont have to install it seperatly. It might be more trouble than its worth to add too much to the rom.

OK, I'm about to take the plunge and attempt the kitchen... hopefully it's so easy a caveman could do it, cuz, well, pretty sure I found the missing link. Any advice for this noob?

Just an FYI if you run Vista 64 you cannot install olipro 2.40 from that machine.
