Its actually really damn easy and a lot of fun. Thanks for giving me the courage to try it out. Im hooked!
I'm glad I was able to help. It really is easy and once you figure out the kitchen you can get crazy and start adding your own OEMs and other tweaks.

DCD really has done a fantastic job.

dcd roms are UC compatible. You dont need to reinstall your applications/customizations every time you change roms. As long as you switch between UC compatible roms, the applications etc will all reintall themselves every time a new rom is detected. no2chems roms are also UC roms so you can switch between his roms and dcd's roms as often as you want. Alternatively, you can cook different roms with dcd's kitchen and install them 10 times a day - all with the knowledge that you applications and customizations will go with you each time.

There is a UC tutorial here.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...=customization

credits to sleuth and dcd. I didn't do any of this work.

Re: DCD's 3.0.0 Is avilable for those who do it DCDStyle

Thanks for the kitchen for sure.

I need to figure out which of my OEMs is breaking BuildOS though... I dumped a LOT of OEMs in the OEM folder but it seems like something DCD has is conflicting with something I added and so its crashing.

I'm going to take the time today to go through and figure out what all I want and try dumping them one folder at a time, see what's causing the problem.

Other than this little hitch, yeah, this kitchen is pretty damn easy

I tried that it only let me change the title of the original post not the whole thread. Maybe I'm just a moron

I just checked again and I only see where to change the title of the post not the thread.

Re: DCD's 3.0.0 Is avilable for those who do it DCDStyle

I am sure I am doing something wrong. I followed the tutorial posted on the 1st page. I keep getting an "ERROR (262) UPDATE ERROR" message which tells me to pull the battery and restart the ppc6800. Everything recovers but I would rather have choices. I have tried this both on my vista laptop and my old xp. Please tell me if I missed something.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

First question. Do you have 3.35 installed?

2nd. Do you have your phone unlocked using Olipro 2.4?

if you answered no to either of these that is your problem.

Re: DCD's 3.0.0 Is avilable for those who do it DCDStyle

Hiya friends.

I've been flashing ALL DAY.. have finally decided to stick with DCD 3.0.1., with the new Srint 3.35 radio.
everything is peachy, and i'm happy with it all except 1 thing which i can't get to work.

my stock (verizon) rom, i was able to transfer files from my laptop to the phone via BT - i'd just right click and 'send to bluetooth', and it would automatically then send it to my phone.

now when i do this, the laptop says 'Discovering Services', then errors out with a 'FTP Service not found on target device'.

has anyone else experienced and BT issues like this with the new ROMS (i had the same error with No2's 5054 ROM as well).

MANY thank you's in advance.

Re: DCD's 3.0.0 Is avilable for those who do it DCDStyle

I followed the instructions and got the ROM flashed with no problems. Check it out everything seems to be working, including GPS. One thing though, with the OEM ROM, while composing a text message, autocomplete would sugguests words or phrases as you type, but not with DCD's ROM. This is kinda cool feature and saves times while typing. Is there a setting that I'm missing somewhere. Would love to have this feature back. Thanks
