Re: ROM UPGRADE RESULTS SURVEY- Please vote!

+1???

I have read that the processor varies its speed depending on the app or function...not truly overclockable.

I'm loving the ROM as well. Very fast. I had a question regarding the GPS though. I have the $15 data plan and don't want to pay for Sprint Navigation. Is there a GPS program out there that will allow realtime update of GPS position and navigation w/o paying? I know that I can use Live Search and "center on GPS" for my current location, but it doesn't have the realtime navigation functionality.

I mean...you can buy a cheapo GPS and use it for free. Why should the GPS on my phone have a monthly charge?

Please see the GPS discussion here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=17032

Hope that helps,

Re: ROM UPGRADE RESULTS SURVEY- Please vote!

I flashed just for the radio upgrade, I put a cooked ROM on the phone pretty much immediately.

Re: ROM UPGRADE RESULTS SURVEY- Please vote!

The only problem I'm having is one caused by my own anal-retentiveness. I would still like to see SprintTV, but I really like 3.35 a LOT.

This is by FAR the best Official release i've seen, and i'm sure everyone can agree. Looks like Sprint and HTC finally got their act together!

I've found ONE issue, and this may not be with the ROM but third-party software.

SPB Phone Suite, beta 1 (latest release) doesn't update email numbers when email is updated.

Also, even though I set up my yahoo account to update every 15 minutes using Pocket Outlook, it doesn't do it. Nothing is updating. Also have it set to buzz when new email is received, again, no buzzing, no notifications of any kind.
Added GUI for selecting a default mailbox for opening when clicked on the mailbox icon

-- Make sure you set your default mailbox in the settings.

Re: ROM UPGRADE RESULTS SURVEY- Please vote!

Only issue I am having is that when I make a call, or a call comes in, the phone does not do the audible ring. It will vibe though so I know when it's going off.

The other problem is if I answer the call, I can not hear ANYTHING, and I don't think my voice is going out.

I think these problems are one in the same, and could be fixed with a reg hack, but I do not have any experience with such things, unless it's in a cab.

Re: ROM UPGRADE RESULTS SURVEY- Please vote!

I had zero problems installing over the leaked radio/ROM and the NexVision ROM. I also - as others have said - like the ROM very much. My wants are:
1 - Move up to 6.1
2 - Dump the Sprint stuff like Nav, store, music, etc.

I've added:
1 - HTC Home (hope it has no leak now) & customizer.
2 - VistaHide battery gauge.
3 - LS & Google Maps (the new GPS is awesome!)
4 - PIMBackup
5 - RAR
6 - Can't remember the rest but you get the idea.
7 - Oh also LEDKiller & NueMinutes
NueMinutes is not working but I think it is a Sprint issue.

Memory management works great, memory goes down depending on how many apps you have open, but recovers nicely. Over 25meg free on a fresh restart. I only saw problems once I started to load apps that weren't tested/certified for this phone, like the hacked HTC Home Page from the XDA forums (memory leak).

GPS is simply flawless at this point... looks like they opened up their aGPS servers to the Mogul users... that's why you can get a fix instantly. I even got a fix while sitting in my house... which was impossible before this ROM.

I've even heard (but haven't had a chance to confirm myself) that MS Voice Command 1.6 now fully works with this version of WinMo6

Once they bring out the video fix... this phone will be one of the best out at the moment.

Life in phone-land is good
Totally agreed. Both Sprint & HTC finally done something right this time.Good job.
