This, and no need to relock, are very good things for you guys! :)

Will Rev a and GPS come through if the Sprint Junk is skipped? I know it was required to let it run in the 3.16 ROM if you wanted them!

There's not been one released for GPS (to my knowledge)
here's the relocker thread -> http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=12041

the only relocker i know of at this point is the non-GPS locker

No, the 2.40 Olipro has write protection, preventing it from being overwritten

I wish I had known before unlocking my phone. Now if I take my phone in for anything software related, I'm screwed. With all the amazing programs I've seen on this site, I'm suprised they don't have a re-locker to go back to the 2.06 SLP. I wonder if anybody is working on making one.

They have one. I have used it to go back and fourth between Colonel's and the official sprint release. Look around and you will find it.

Re: Official Sprint ROM 3.35.651.2 - Discussion

ok this is not working for me. This is the second mogul I have tried to update the ROM to the 3.35 and I am getting the same error. I downloaded the upgrade and ran the setup while synced. after the progress bar gets to 2% it gives me a connection error and instructions on the recovery process. I do the recovery process and continue with the update and then I get the

"error code 328 invalid comand, This update utitily cannot be used for your PDA phone. Check update utility"

Now the update has already erased the previous version and all I see is the 3 color screen. even when I reset. so now I have a worthless phone.

How do I fix this so I can use the phone again.

Do you have a Sprint Mogul, or another carrier's iteration of the Titan? If it is not a Sprint device, you must install the Olipro 2.40 hard-SPL unlocked bootloader first, and then run the Sprint OEM 3.35 ROM update.

Have you tried this thread: Stuck in TITAN bootloader? Read this! It may get you back to Windows on your phone.

I'm pretty pleased with this update for the most part--GPS is awesome--but has anyone else noticed that video playback (GDI, not directdraw) seems a little choppier than it was on older roms? My Youtube/Google playback in TCPMP seems slower than it was before I flashed.

-> ERROR [262] : UPDATE ERROR
This error occurs during the CE ROM code upgrade process.
Solution: If this happens, you can just soft-reset the device and run RUU again. The update process will then continue.
Note: At this stage, the Wince is destroyed; instead, it is in upgrade mode.
This didnt work for me, anyone else have any clue?

Re: Titan ReLocker - The Hard-SPL undo option
Theres a lot of info in this thread and I wanted to make CERTAIN I fully understood the essence of this thread.

As it stands today 5/2/2008; anyone with a stock ROM from HTC or through their carrier, ie the sprint ROM 3.35 that has EVDO A and GPS enabled can use the new Oli 2.4 bootloader/unlocker and flash a custom ROM and reflash the 3.35 ROM but CAN NOT go back to a previous stock Bootloader/ROM and relock the phone as was possible before 3.16 or 3.17 (whichever) ROM that activated the GPS.

Also, currently, any attempt to step backwards to pre-GPS bootloader and ROMs on phones with activated GPS ROMS (ie Sprint 3.35), so the phone can be relocked to try to handle warranty issues, bricks the phone.

Is this an accurate assessment of the situation as of this date?

By the way, all you guys providing the tools, expertise and forums absolutely rock!

I think this should be posted around.

Word Mobile, Excel Mobile, and Powerpoint Mobile are included in the stock OEM Sprint/HTC 3.35 ROM. Look under Start>Programs>Office Mobile.

REQUEST:

Can someone cab up the sprint navigation that comes with the leaked ROM?
It has some pretty cool options that the kitchen nav does not.
A posted cab would be highly appreciated or if we can create a kitchen using it too!

thanks

IF you have a Sprint Mogul and it is still under warranty, or if you have the extended warranty plan, and you need to have the device exchanged anyway, then there is no downside to relocking and running the risk of actually bricking the Titan into download mode.

If that is your situation:
1. Install the OEM stock 3.35 ROM if you have a custom ROM (so that if you do brick it, it will have the OEM ROM)
2. Install the relocker available on the PPCGeeks ftp site (Titan Relocker.exe)
3. Re-install the OEM stock 3.35 ROM to get the stock bootloader

If the Mogul bricks in the process, when you take it back to Sprint tell them it won't turn on. You could even tell them it happened while you were loading the stock OEM ROM update from the Sprint website. If it does not brick, take it back for whatever the original reason was (assuming that loading the OEM ROM does not fix the problem). This procedure should leave it with the OEM bootloader and ROM if it completes successfully. However, following ImCoKeMaN's warnings, find some reason to exchange it even if this completes successfully and the procedure fixes whatever the problem was.

ROMs discussed here in the Titan forum will only work on the Titan device. Hopefully, you loaded the Touch ROM and just posted here by mistake; either way, try the Touch forum for help.

OK, I am going to guess that what you are saying is "When I turn my Titan on I get the screen that says titan100, then it stays on that until it turns itself off, how do I get out of that?"

If I have divined your question, you need the exitbootloader app, as the multi-color screen that says titan100 is the bootloader screen. The download link is in the first post in the following thread:
Stuck in TITAN bootloader? Read this!

This ROM is for the Titan, not the Vogue. If you attempt to flash this ROM to your Vogue, you will very likely produce the new hybrid HTC Brick.

It won't be a total loss though, because ImCoKeMaN is collecting bricks to pave his new patio and barbecue pit.
