Re: Comparison between custom 6.1 Sprint ROMs

Don't forget about DCD's 1.7.0 (soon to be 1.7.1) kitchen. It's WM 6.1 kitchen that uses a 2.17 base so you can use the older radios like 1.40 which is really stable.

The upside is its stable, fast and you don't get the problems associated with the newer 3.x radio.

The downside is that it can't utilize the internal GPS or the Revision A speeds. However, for me, this is the best option for now. I have an external GPS unit and the difference between Rev 0 and Rev A wasn't big enough to justify the buggy 3.x radio.

Name: dcd's titan ROMs & kitchen 1.7.0
Latest Version: 1.7.0
OS: WM 6.1 CE OS 5.2.19199 Build 19199.1.0.0 DCD
Rom Type: Kitchen
Base: 2.17/WM 6.1
URL: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=372853
Notes: The XIP in the 1.7.0 is actually 2.14 by accident. DCD provides a 2.17 XIP later in the posts that you just drop in the kitchen to put it to 2.17.

GPS and Rev.A...well i tried using GPS but didnt get it working which i doubt i'll need really...and as far as Rev.A i dont even know if i have to set it up or if its already running

i'll flash back and see which is most suitable for me
GPS works well if you review the sticky posted on how to set it up correctly for non-sprint software. I use Holux GPS viewer and Fransons GPS gate to get it talking with Iguidance 4. With all the maps on the card, I do not need to worry about a Sprint signal while using the GPS. Works very well with No2Chems Nuerom2.

Here's the GPS setup post...
