Sprint is calling 3.16 a "beta"

Just a funny fact. I called CS today and they know that 3.16 is up on the net. They called it a beta and advised me not to install it. Also the rep I spoke to has no idea when the real release is coming. They put the blame on HTC. Shocker there.

Not real sure what the surprise is on that statement. We all know that code was never meant to hit the net. It is unfinished at best. The most difficult part of programming is debugging, so I can see how this works, but has lots of issues

LOL I hope people aren't expecting 3.16 to be released.
I'm expecting more like a 3.58.

.58* better equate to more stability...

*.58= random number

yes i agree it is very very buggy but get a hold of a either dcd or no2chems custom 6.1 roms and believe me they are worth flashing to. i have had no complaints so far with either of their work.

They leaked it on purpose. They did because they know we would take it and work it. Then they know what bugs are out there how it’s acting and what was done to solve there issues. Then they take the ROMs we released and rebuild there’s then release it. Anyone who says leaked piracy is a crime and never meant to happen has there head up there ***.

Sprint says HTC and HTC says Sprint, same ole song and dance. Yea they tell you not install because it voids any type of warranty and they have no tech support for it. As far as being buggy i agree it does have a few flaws but like another poster said dcds and no2chems 6.1's work pretty dayum decent

i bet it will be 3.17

do you remember 2.16 that was released from htc and sprint was going to release it on halloween. well it was full of bugs and htc removed it. later we saw the fixed version called 2.17

i think they are getting smarter by letting us beta test these roms. if they admit it or not that is what we are soing for them.

Exactly. They released it to shutup the diehard and hackers and to prove that Rev A and GPS were not a pipe dream. They will take their sweet time getting it pretty good to stable for the everyday user before we see an offical ROM.

It sucks but at least we got the new $h!t before everyone else. But at the same time we are doing their dirty work for them testing all the bugs and kinks in the rom

Actually they did not leak it on purpose... They are still wondering how It got out as only a few people had their hands on it...

Hopefully the person that leaked it still has their job... But it was not done intentionally by sprint... Well atleast thats what the DEvelopment people state..

The latest as of a few days ago 2-27-08 to be exact was Mar 10th 2008 following a press release... It is in what they call final right now and unless any major bugs are found will be released on that day..
