If you read kmartburrito's original post when he made the ROM available, he states that it will work just fine if you start with the stock bootloader. I flashed it that way originally and the ROM booted with no problem. I doubt that something changed since then to keep it from booting without the hard SPL. My question as to whether there is any advantage to installing the hard SPL still stands.

hmmmm, i dont think i ever tried it with the stock bootloader. might have to give it a whirl one of these days.
