when you cook your own rom...its even better....put your own twist in it.....DCD's 2.3.1 kitchen is great! the custom rom i cooked up based off it is completely rediculous...i have it like i had my 6700 but with more updated, faster, stable, reliable, gps, rev a., constant non - dropping bt, speed with almost 30 appz burnt in, speed with almost an extra 10-15 installed, ics, custom everything, braggin' rights, ownage of others, blah blah blah.....

sorry....yea..dcd's kitchen is pretty damn good.

Re: DCD 2.3.1 Review (by me)

I know that this has been asked many time. But I am begging someone with a kind heart to please explain to me step by step what I need to do and what I need to download (and where) so that I can have DCD 2.3.1 rom. please, I will be forever grateful..

Also if I backup with the newest Sprite will that work? Will my backup work?

Re: DCD 2.3.1 Review (by me)

Yeah I just upgraded from my 2.17 over to DCD's ROM and i'm also liking it. I was scared to do all this before because I didnt wanna mess up my phone but the step by step that the guy above me mentioned made it really easy. I highly recommend anyone who wants to upgrade to any custom ROM to read that guide.

Well - for all those who have used and love DCD's kitchen and ROMS - donate to the man.... It takes time to make all the goodies he gives us.... I know I have donated and will again.....

Re: DCD 2.3.1 Review (by me)

I actually found 2.3.1 to be slower than the sprint GPS beta rom in responsiveness.
No2chem's rom flies, but its not a simple kitchen, so DCD definitely is the best option for adding your own customizations.

Not so impressed with the speed.
Sure, its faster than 2.17, but I feel like 3.16 and no2chem are faster...

Re: DCD 2.3.1 Review (by me)

i agree with dishe no2chem has a very fast stable rom and if you read the how to use base kits thread you should be able to cook a ROM in under 5 minutes. i did and i have plenty of apps in my ROM. im not saying there is anything wrong with dcds roms but i have loved no2chems roms since the first time i flashed to one. plus the apps no2chem has made are the best thanx to him sprint can now send pictures again.

What do you mean by faster? Data speed? Responsiveness? More free RAM?

My primary goal is maximum, consistent available ram. (not just after a reset).
